A favoured holiday spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.
On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!
More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognisable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modelled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.
A popular stag and hen do destination, Blackpool offers accommodation ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.
The ballroom at the tower is exceptional.
The illuminations are brilliant.
We had coffee at the Whether Spoon The Albert and the Lion.
and read the 18 verses of the poem that my Mum was taught 65 years ago when she was 15.
Shopped in the shopping centre lots of choice.

Illuminations were great.
Illuminations were great. Tram now serving Blackpool North station was useful (buy the one day pass ticket from the conductor onboard). Papa's Fish & Chips on the Promenade (between North Pier and Blackpool Tower) highly recommended (try the Worthington's Cream Ale).

There’s nowhere to park,it’s a nightmare for people with walking issues, there’s spaces everywhere for taxis, yet there’s no taxis using them, there’s plenty of streets behind the main promenade all covered with double yellow lines, yet all the shops are closed down, why, because we couldn’t get parked,I had to park in bank st and pay £12 each time I wanted to go to the main area of Blackpool,I got a parking ticket for parking in a taxi space, about ten cars did, during the fireworks display, had I known they were petty like that I wouldn’t have donated £10 to the display, everyone was there for one purpose,to see the fireworks, upon leaving there was absolute chaos with traffic, no wardens then, funnily enough,I also think it’s diabolical that pensioners who are with grandkids have to pay full price into the pleasure beach,it’s not covid anymore so it should be back to the way it was before

Blackpool has been receiving a lot of bad press for sometime now, which made me apprehensive to visit. I stayed for the weekend as I was attending a music festival in the town centre. The town was very busy as other events were on also. We stayed a short walk from the town which was nice being in the quiet of the residential area. The full weekend was very enjoyable with lots to do, everyone was nice and there was never any trouble. Will definitely pay Blackpool a visit again next year. Only criticism is there is not much on offer in regards to dinning.

Blackpool is very run down its now just a place for people to get asdrunk as they can, it doesn't feel very family welcoming.
However my daughter and granddaughter enjoyed their stay but we only stayed for 1 night don't think they would have the same feelings if we had to do a week in the dump.

Blackpool is the New Jersey of England except we have three piers as well as fun fairs. Plenty of pubs, clubs, eateries, shops, long walks, a zoo, acquariam and lots of reasonably priced accommodations, from self catering, to b and b, full board, or not. Great professional theatre shows, what's not to love?
Staff always welcomed you with a smile and asked if anything was required. We stayed 9 nights £333 ( family of 4 ) and room was clean and tidy with coffee/tea facilties. Ensuite with shower. Location is excellent less than 5 mins walk from the blackpool tower and local shops. Fresh towels for the asking. If u want left to yourself and no fuss this is the place for you. If you want pampered and doted on pay for a more expensive hotel. To rest your head at night and prime location and cheap this is fine.
The proximity to the beach and main entertainment venues of Blackpool - only a short walk from Blackpool Tower and the seafront. Excellent full English breakfast. Friendly bar and staff. Limited free parking in front of the hotel. Struggled to find parking near hotel on New Year’s Eve, but managed to find parking at
Caunce Street/Church Street Car Park, Cookson St, (Open 24 hours)
The next day I managed to find a spot in the car park adjacent to the hotel, which was a bonus!
The very best thing about this hotel is the owners. From the time you enter till the time you leave, you feel like you are family, they are helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Location is great for exploring Blackpool. Room was clean and breakfast was yummy. Lovely biscuits and coffee in the room. Would Def book again.
One of the best hotels we have stayed in at blackpool. The family room was a great size for the kids too. Anything we asked the hotel wasnt a problem at all either and already told friends and family about the hotel
The hotel is a short walk to the seafront and all the Blackpool attractions. The manager was very welcoming and gave me some suggestions about places to see.
