Staff very friendly and helpful, Hotel very comfortable and clean. A lovely Stay all round.

Everything you need in a perfectly presented shepherd's hut. All the little touches thought of including complementary fresh eggs and milk. Very comfortable bed, quiet, and lovely views. Dog-friendly. Hosts very friendly and couldn't do more for you.

Faultless! Blew our expectations out of the water. Incredibly well built cosy cabin in the most traquil secluded setting. Even had the luxury of heavy rain making the expierience even cosier.

Everything was perfect! So idyllic, and the photos just don't do this place justice. Only a short walk to the nearest pub (the food and cocktails were delicious!), and then back to the warm, cosiness of this beautiful hideaway! We were even greeted by a gorgeous feline on the grounds of the property, who met us from our car!

If you looking to disconnect and have some quiet and peaceful time than that's the right place to go We loved every minute of it and if we have the chance we will gladly go back 😊

This is the place for you if you're looking for pease and quiet. No traffic, no kids, no shops, etc. Lovely woodland walks (Take your wellies). Beautiful scenery, lodges are spotless, warm, and very comfortable. Our 2 collies loved it.. Friendly owners,

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kingsley Cottage and honestly couldn’t have wished for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, Ray made us feel incredibly welcome with tea, coffee and delicious treats in the beautiful garden. His warm, friendly and genuinely caring nature made us feel at home straight away. The room was spotlessly clean, exceptionally well equipped and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. We especially loved all the thoughtful little touches – fresh flowers, biscuits, chocolates, coffee and tea in the room – everything had been prepared with so much care and attention to detail. One of the highlights of our stay was the charming bird and squirrel feeding station right outside our window. Every morning we enjoyed watching the birds, and we were especially delighted by a lovely little squirrel that visited us regularly. It was such a peaceful and heartwarming experience and made our mornings even more special. Breakfast was simply outstanding – an incredible selection with everything you could possibly wish for, all beautifully prepared and served. Ray also provided fantastic recommendations for places to visit and restaurants in the area, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he even carried our luggage for us, which perfectly reflects his kindness and attentiveness. Kingsley Cottage is one of those rare places where every detail has been carefully considered. We left with wonderful memories and would recommend it without hesitation. We felt perfectly at home. In the beautiful cottage there was everything we needed or ever might have needed. Never had such a well maintained and thoughtfully equipped accomodation before. A wonderful garden, quiet nights, nice walks around the house. The location was great for exploring the breathtaking coastline of North Devon and Cornwall, for example Hartland Point, the beaches of Duckpool and Black Rock (nice dog-friendly beaches), for taking walks on Tarka Trail or visiting tourist attractions like Tintagel and Hartland Abbey. The owners were very thoughtful, helpful, gave great advice for our adventures and were just nice! Thank you, Helen and Richard

Nice place and well organized

Louise, Shannon and Family are such friendly welcoming hosts. The beds are so comfortable and we slept really well in the tents. The setting is peaceful with beautiful views and wonderful dark skies. Despite being in a quiet rural location we felt perfectly secure and relaxed as the site is secure and monitored with the right level of visibility whilst maintaining your peace and privacy. We used the location to explore Hartland Abbey and Quay, visit the Milky Way park and venture into Cornwall for swimming in the Trevone Bay natural pool. There is a lovely pub a short drive away with delicious food and it was easy to pick up bits for cooking on site as our hosts kept us topped up with Ice packs and drinking water. Highly recommend it for a relaxing rural break but with easy access to local amenities and attractions.
