Very clean, cozy, quiet and friendly hotel. Very friendly people. Safe and private parking which was great for our bikes. Nice to have a drink and dinner in the adjacent pub. Loved the atmosphere. Breakfast was really good as well. We recommend this!

I was really tired when I arrived after a long drive, The receptionist on the desk was truly lovely and helped me with my bags to my room. Room was on the second floor and was big and comfortable Lovely view of the lake. I used the pool which was lovely and quiet. The food at breakfast was excellent. Lovely business stay.

We liked that there were no steps into accommodation and there was a shower rather than a bath and tea making facilities in the room. There were seats and table outside and chairs inside. Although next to the pub there was no noise nuisance or interference from pub visitors. A good choice of breakfast was given in the pub and there was the option to eat other meals and teas in the pub. Excellent location for the South Downs.

Zoe, was a great host. I booked last minute but she still managed to prepare the room and have it ready at such short notice. The shower was really powerful and they provided shampoo and conditioner, which was needed. A good stop for bike packers, Zoe took care of my bike and stored it safely in her shed and there is a pup 400m down the road which had great food.
