Fantastic location on the Harbour. We have stayed in Stonehaven and had food and drinks there before so this was one of the reasons we wanted to stay at the hotel Good value for money .Good food we eat in the bar in the Evening and the Breakfast was brilliant although its Continental there was so much choice and excellent quality products. The view from the restaurant is fantastic. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Would have no hesitation booking again.

The location of this property is ideal as it is in a quiet street with a 2 minute walk to the town centre. The house is secured at the rear and has a private rear yard with external furniture which is great to sit out and relax. The inside of the house is wonderful, it has everything that you need, from the facilities in the kitchen with the utensils and condiments, very comfy bed in a spacious bedroom, lovely bathroom with a great shower & the best towels, to a very good living area which made my stay there very enjoyable and I will definitely return to this property.

My trip was just for leisure and relaxation and that's what I enjoyed. Walking along the boardwalk is so soothing and the metal sculptures are fantastic. For me getting to know some of the local history is a pleasure.

Stonehaven is a town surrounded by history, fishing, and as its bame suggests a Haven for boats and travellers, people very friendly and enjoy a good chat, I would go back there over and over again as always been there on business but will go back with my camera and take photos of the gorgeous scenery it offers.

Have visited Stonehaven many times. A variety of eating places all within easy walking distance. You can choose from Indian, Italian, Chinese and Tapas restaurants. As well as traditional pub food. There are lovely walks along the boardwalk and harbour.

A great small town with every facility required for our stay. Beautiful sandy harbour with plenty of activities. Adjacent pebble beach with a boardwalk for several miles. Small train runs through the town to Dunnator castle, also walkable from town.

Some lovely restaurants and cafe's in the town and lovely beach walks with views over the bay. We visited a number of establishments on our stay, The Station Hotel and Ship Inn to name just a couple and all were very nice. Staff friendly and service good too. There are lots of lovely cafe's too. Having only stayed 2 nights, be didn't manage to get round them all! The outdoor heated pool looked inviting although we didn't take a dip. There is also a new leisure centre with indoor pool and various other facilities.

The Dunottar castle is terrific and the walk there is very scenic. Make sure you leave 1-1.5 hours to have a good look around when you get there. There is also an excellent tapas bar just off the market square - Casa Luisa

We chose to stay in the area of Stonehaven mainly to visit the Dunnottar Castle, which was amazing, but we experienced much more than that during our stay here. Shorehead Guesthouse is beautiful and in a fantastic location, right on the little harbour. Our host, Paul is friendly and offered suggestions for dining and adventures in the area. The breakfast was great, we helped ourselves to an array of quality food and beverages and Paul was on hand for anything we required. The view from the dining/living room was stunning.

The house is within a few hundred metres of the shore, close to lovely shops, right in the centre of town. It has great charm, and the patio was delightful, surrounded by other quirky buildings and catching the sun at most times of day (at least, when we were there). Three amazing things we saw: walked to Dunotter Castle, perhaps the grandest in Scotland; enjoyed the harbours with their cafes, pubs and views; loved the Lido (but get there early, a lot of other people love it too!).

The harbourside location and view. The room was recently renovated, although rather small. Parking is off-site, but there were lots of free spaces in the street right in front of the hotel.
