Like stepping into another World full of friendly people. The village is small and hard to find, consisting of The Street, the old pub and the lovely old church with small cottages. Not touristy, no coaches as the roads are so narrow.
Tiny village school. No shops. Just a gem.
Thakeham is a beautiful village.
Thakeham is a beautiful village. In a gorgeous part of West Sussex. We ate in the village pub, the White Horse. A very atmospheric 16th century pub. The food was amazing!

We were not there long, but we did eat in the pub just up the road called the White Lion, very good food and friendly atmosphere. The next day we visited Arundel, it was a beautiful place and lots of antique shops and tea rooms, also a lovely castle to look round.

Tiny village in the middle of nowhere, we were here for a visit to Brighton and Hove and didn't fancy staying in the immediate area, this was a 20 min drive and was a perfect little getaway. We didn't really look round the village but did make use of the White Lion Pub which was great, unfortunately no reservations for dinner (its a very popular venue and booking is essential).
Thakeham is a small village with lots of character.
Thakeham is a small village with lots of character. It is quiet and well maintained, a typical country haven. The people were so friendly and the local pub, The White Lion, was a welcoming place with wonderful food and a great atmosphere.
It is a great location from which to explore the rest of the region.
