Uig
Featuring a garden, Stones Luxury B&B with hot tub and self-contained rooms offers accommodations in Uig with free WiFi and sea views. Everything was absolutely wonderful. The room was bright and very clean. The view from the window was stunning. The bed was luxuriously comfortable, so much so that we joked about taking it with us. The room had everything we could need for our stay. Our host was extremely kind and accommodating. The breakfasts were delicious and even inspired us to make new things for ourselves at home. She left us little muffins as a midday snack surprise that was very much needed, and was able to put together a great antipasti platter for us for dinner one night. There was also a complimentary bottle of wine when we arrived which was such an incredible touch. She offered suggestions for what to do and see and we had a great day as a result. She also stayed very accessible throughout our stay and was quick to answer texts. The hot tub was great and included magnificent views of the sea and mountains. Honestly can’t say enough good things about our stay here. Thank you!

Uig is a charming village. If we had more time this would have been a great base to explore the Outer Hebrides Islands (the ferries departed out of Uig) and it was really easy to get to Portree on the main road. I also discovered the Isle of Skye Brewery is located in Uig, but didn't get a chance to visit.
Uig is a quiet place, perfect as a starting point for a trip around the Isle of Sky. We had a rental car, I'm guessing getting around by bus might be a bit difficult. By car we took a tour around the island, got off where we wanted (Quiraing, The Storr, Portree, Staffin Dinosaur Beach, Fairy Glenn, view points, cafés, museums, craft shops etc.) Next time I get there I'll also plan ahead a trip to the Outer Hebrides. Getting - or even staying - there requires a bit of planning as accomodation and ferries are heavily booked, but I'm sure it's worthwhile.
Uig is not only a perfect base to explore Skye, but it is quiet and ideal for peace and quiet after touring around to get away from the bustle of tourists. The Uig Hotel was fantastic for dinner and the staff were lovely. We ate in The Ferry Inn, it was exceptional. A real treat for my husband and I to have a quiet dinner. The food was excellent and the decor is lovely.
Uig's location enables travellers to make the most of the northern area of the Isle of Skye. There is much to see on the main roads and the backroads. Local residents are very easy to talk with and helped us make the most of our time there by recommending places that were 'must see'. Uig pottery is well worth the visit and the handicraft of the locals is very good and well priced. We dined at the restaurant beside the sea wall and it was a pleasing experience.
Uig is an excellent location for a tour around the northern part of Skye. Visiting the southern part of Skye would be best done during the transit from or to the mainland to save on covering the same road sections multiple times.
Uig on the Isle of Skye is a piece of heaven here on earth! Having Vivienne as our host at Abhaig B&B was a divine experience. My daughter and I really enjoyed the food, drinks and hospitality we experienced at the Ferry Inn.
Had an amazing 2 night stay at Uig, b&b was clean and tidy, well finished. Stunning views. Vicki was great, she was there to welcome us, an amazing breakfast brought to our door when we wanted it with a great selection. Lovely bottle of wine on arrival, fresh juice and milk. After our day of exploring we came back to freshly baked brownies. Will be recommending the b&b to anyone that wants to travel around Skye.
We had a great stay at Abhaig B&B. We spent two nights there in the main house. The place was super clean, the food was amazing, and all the attention to detail was just wonderful. Steve and Vivienne made us feel very welcomed. They answered all the questions we had plus gave us pointers about places to see. We spent two weeks in UK traveling around and this was our favorite place of all of our stays. Z and Wade.
Perfect location for exploring the Isle of Skye. Very quiet but an ideal base for exploring. Room was large with clean shower facilities & a good breakfast selection. Easy check in with key box. Small outside area to enjoy. About 5 minutes to Uig Hotel by car which serves lovely food. About 30 minutes to main town Portree.
Very nice modern property, tastefully decorated and well equipped. Great view from large picture windows in the living room. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Conveniently located 15mins from the Quirang (probably the most photogenic part of Skye). Would definitely stay here again.

Huge thanks to George. A very warm welcome, George had made bread eggs milk homemade jam and round what we needed for a breakfast. The place is very comfortable and warm. Everything is there to feel good. An incredible view of the port of Uig. We will come back without hesitation
Uig
The host was very friendly, he showed us his beautiful home, he advised us where is recommended traveling and how will be the weather long the day, told us stories about his family and jokes. His wife made breakfast, and it was rich and delicious!
The view from the property was fantastic. The dining area was a lovely place to sit and socialise with great views of the bay. Although there is not a lot in Uig it provided a great base to explore Skye. The shower was powerful and refreshing.
Really good stay, like it. all was clean, and nice host, breakfast was amazing loved it, thank you.
