Great inn. Our room was spacious and had very comfortable beds. Good breakfast options. We only stayed here for one night, but wouldn’t have minded staying longer if time had permitted.

The location is fabulous and ideal if you want to explore the area. The shepherd's hut is in general well equipped with a hob and microwave. The bed was exceedingly comfortable and as I have a bad back that was really important for me. Dogs are welcomed and the location is ideal provided your dog is well behaved. There were no livestock around at the time that I was there in February but there is access to a road should your dog be one that wanders a long way and doesn't have good recall.

Located in the market town of Faringdon, this former 16th-century coaching inn still has its original courtyard.
