The property is very clean and quiet. The sand beach in front of the property has plenty of pebbles and rocks but you find better options 10-15 minutes away by bus. The staff is very professional and friendly. The food is fresh and they have a wide range of beverages as well.

Our stay at Ilena Hotel was absolutely perfect! The location is amazing – close to the beach, restaurants, and everything you need, yet quiet and relaxing. Kyana was so welcoming and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and trips around the island, which really made our stay special. The room was beautiful, very clean, recently renovated, and decorated in a modern minimalist style. The garden with the pool felt like a little paradise – we loved relaxing there with cocktails from the bar. Breakfast was another highlight: fresh, generous, and truly delicious every single morning. We had the most relaxing time and can’t wait to come back. Thank you to the whole Ilena Hotel team for such a wonderful experience!

The hotel's location is perfect - in the Achavari area, just on the main road, however, at the end of the settlement, feels like completely calm, hidden and remote (which is great!). The hotel reception staff helped us book a transfer from and to the airport upon arrival and departure, we had nice luxury cars. Upon arrival, we were helped with our luggage and greeted by a concierge with a refreshment and a cold scented towel, after which we were shown the property grounds (alongside a map, timings for everything and events schedule) and taken to our room. To our surprise, we were kindly upgraded to an interconnecting room and my partner and I had to have our own bathrooms during our stay which was lovely. I cannot say much more about the food except that everything we tried was absolutely delicious and I have never seen such a variety and attention to detail especially in a buffet style of dining. We got to also try the Fine Dining, Tavernaki and Italian restaurants. Service across the property, including the Lobby bar is top-notch. Fortunately enough, we also managed to secure a booking at the wine library Cava Bottega on one of the evenings, where the amazing sommelier Giorgia prepared a wine tasting with a small food platter for my partner and non-alcoholic wines for me. She is quite knowledgeable and answered all of our questions in a very understandable way. It was a lovely experience! Furthermore, we quite enjoyed spending time at the aqua park just relaxing beneath the palm trees. Even though the hotel was quite full, at no point in time it felt crowded or hard to get a place around the beach, pools, or main restaurant. To sum up, I would highly recommend the Grecotel LuxME hotel range, with the LuxME concept includes everything one might think of - amazing service, food, facilities, all types of drinks at all times, stocked mini bar and coffee station, entertainment, and even wine tasting!

Amazing apartment that is close to everything (beach, restaurants, airport bus, guided tours, scooter / quad / car rentals.) The staff is incredibly helpful and supportive, they responded immediately even to our not-so-basic requests, like the mattress in bed was too soft for us. The daily cleaning is priceless as well as the new towels and empty rubbish bins.

Really good cocktail bar in the town which was the highlight of our evenings. Kontesa being the name with staff and owners being both present and welcoming, the food here was also great with asian being the theme. The other food options and restaurant standards in general were quite disappointing despite the abundance of restaurants. The village was very quiet during our stay in September, definitely draws a more mature crowd with the few youths present looking quite bored. I wont be back with Corfu offering many more lively and beautiful places such as Kasiopi.

We returned to Acharavi in Oct after visiting a year before...

We returned to Acharavi in Oct after visiting a year before in June. We were looking for a little more sunshine before the winter and it was lovely. In Oct some of the restaurants and bars were closed so there was less choice and we missed a couple of our favourite eating places. But we enjoyed cooking at the villa and shopping locally. Acharavi is more than a tourist town and so the supermarkets and local produce shops & bakery were still on the go. The beach at Acharavi is mainly taken over by the cafes and restaurants on the seafront so there is very little casual use beach. Mainly it is further west along the Sidari-Kassiopi road where, then, there are few facilities so its a difficult trade off. For us the real attraction was the tree filled hills for walking and walking along the seafront. Rhoda and Sidari had little to offer us. If we had rented a car for longer we could've struck out and visited other bays and towns but were happy at our Villa on the hills. If it were summertime we would've stayed longer to use the sea and the pool.

Acharavi was a good town with lots of shops, restaurants and 3 supermarkets. The beach wasn't the best one as it has quite a lot of stones but its a short drive to really good sandy beaches at Roda and Agios Spiridonas. We enjoyed meals at Odysseus and Maestro - where they have a 'Greek Night' of music and dancing on a Tuesday evening, but book ahead. Also near Agios Spiridonas there is 'North Corfu Horses' where there are different options for horse rides. Our adult daughter did a 'swimming with horses' which she really enjoyed.

There are many wonderful places to eat delicious food!

There are many wonderful places to eat delicious food! Our favourite was a beachfront restaurant called Eretrico. Dolce Freddo is a gelato place that does wonderful fresh waffles and amazing ice cream. There are a good few supermarkets with prices much lower that what we have here in Ireland. There are also plenty of giftshops selling typical souvenirs as well as locally made products such as olive wood products and jewellery. The town area is mostly flat, so it is easy to walk but some of the paving stones are uneven and could present a tripping hazard. There are a few bus stops with buses connecting to Corfu Town and a few other towns. There are a lot of cars, motorbikes, quad bikes and bicycles available to hire. I would recommend using the bus to get to and from Corfu Town and consider hiring a car for exploring the local area as there are many beautiful beaches you can only reach by car. Locally, you can hire paddle boards, rent sun loungers and umbrellas at reasonable prices and arrange tours through a travel agent. It is possible to do things like boat trips, a day trip to Albania and go horse riding. Honestly, we ran out of time before we could do all the things that we wanted to do!

A little to remote located on the north side of the island. The village had a very quiet feel to it which is fine if you like it that way. The beach is excellent but can be exposed to winds and rolling waves.

There’s plenty to do and there are good supermarkets and an excellent fresh fish shop. It’s on the coast and a sundowner drink at one of the tavernas is a must. The restaurants are very good, but the local grill bar is particularly good value for money. We also went to Therikas taverna which was local to us that was very good also. The bar Poets Corner on the old town road is also definitely worth a visit.

The location was great, a two minute walk from the sea and restaurants. Also a great location if you are exploring the northern part of Corfu. Our apartment was not very big but it had everything we needed. Both the bedrooms had airconditioning. There was also a garden with grass for kids to play and you can use the pool next door if you buy a drink (which is common for a poolbar). The host was very nice and accomodating. Would definitely stay here again!

The property is very well located and is of a high modern standard. Probably the nicest we have seen in Corfu since we’ve been coming. The grounds are kept very well and the host was very friendly. Cleaning routine was also very good even for the short time we were there. So all of this I would rate extremely well.

The apartment was modern, clean, and well-equipped. The hosts were very kind and willing to help with everything. It's in a great location for exploring the whole northern part of Corfu. There's a supermarket just across the street. I hope to visit again!
