Our stay at Archontico Manias was an absolute delight—it exceeded all our expectations! We initially booked for a short escape and were completely won over by the authentic charm and high-quality experience. The rooms are lovely, combining rustic, homey charm with modern comfort. The true highlight, however, is the breathtaking view. Waking up to that panoramic vista every morning felt like a privilege and set a perfect, serene tone for the day. The dinner at Archontico Manias was, without exaggeration, the best meat we have ever tasted on Crete. This is where the hotel truly sets itself apart. The cuisine feels home-made and authentically Cretan, yet the presentation, technique, and sophisticated flavor composition elevate it to a Michelin-star level. Every bite was memorable and clearly crafted with immense passion. Archontico Manias provides a rare combination of warm hospitality, stunning scenery, and world-class dining. We were so impressed that we immediately booked a return visit before checking out. If you are looking for an authentic and unforgettable experience on Crete, look no further. Highly, highly recommended!

The apartment was big and spacious. Furniture was old and really stylish, also decorations and even tableware! It was comfortable to stay there, everything was well prepared and clean. Water was hot (which is not obvious from what I saw traveling across Greece). Contact with the owner was really good and nice, the owner is responsive. I highly recommend this place 😍 Greetings from Poland 🇵🇱

Charming apartments in lovely village square. Very clean and comfortable, it had everything we needed. Host gave excellent suggestions and easy check-in. Anogia is a very interesting town, full of history and it was a really good experience for our family. We had a wonderful meal at Ta Skalomata as recommended by host.

Lovely, kind and helpful, hardworking and talented caretaker. Great to meet Poppy, the resident weaver and wise, cheerful custodian od the house. I felt lucky to stay at such a unique place. A small (very) village in the mountains marketing themselves...

A small (very) village in the mountains marketing themselves as "eco-tourism " by incorporating their history and agriculture to the modern world. Local crafts, Cretan honey, olive oil and cheese, Sfentoni cave and Wood museum by a local sculptor was icing on the cake.

Unique experience in a beautiful location.

Unique experience in a beautiful location. Loved the fresh food, evenings with music and open fire pit with meats cooking (only some nights). Guided tours/hikes they offer are only certain days of the week, but great choices if you are there on the right day. Very peaceful and quiet environment to be in with a wonderful pool to relax by. Easy parking (windy mountain drive to get there). Plenty of walking trails/hiking/village to visit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you want 3 days to relax and unwind.
