Hotel Penelope is a family-run hotel, located on the south-east coast of Corfu, in the small fishing village of Boukari, only 60 meters away from the sea. I was so glad and happy to stay in this hotel - amazing place, where you have everything needed! I did the last minute booking for one night and arrived almost at midnight after my emergency check out from the previous hotel and the owner was so nice to give me the best hospitality and did his best for making me feel comfortable. Although Penelope hotel was fully booked for the next days he recommended me a good place to stay for the rest of my vacation, I am so grateful for that! :) Thanks for all and I hope to see you soon! <3
Corfu Aquamarine features a restaurant, bar, a garden and private beach area in Nótos. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Picturesque view to the sea, calm and quiet – this is unforgettable place, provided us by Savva and his warm family (Julia and two his sons). The lovely hotel is situated just on the beach and the place is rounded by olive trees. The terrace of the Savva’s tavern is very pleasant with look to the sea and here You can try many delicious, traditional Greek meals, offered with love, smile and attention. We received a very special gift from our host, the last day. During our stay we field like “at home” and we hope to come again. Thanks a lot!
Offering a restaurant, Pension Elena is located in Boukari. Free WiFi access is available in all areas. Each room here will provide you with a TV, air conditioning and a balcony with Ionian Sea views.... Very close to beach and very nice personal. You can speak English and/or German there.
With sea views, Panorama Notos is set in Nótos and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden and terrace. The apartment features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. This family run business was the perfect place to stay - a beautiful location and everything was wonderful.
Pebble beach, but the tavernas have sunbeds that you could use (we bought lunch in one that we used all day.) If you want a sandy beach you need to drive across the island to Agios Geogios. (25 mins) Lovely tavernas that you can sit in right on the seaside & watch the sun go down. Good walks along the beach Just a really nice quiet laid-back place.
All the restaurants in the area are very nice and it is a perfect location for a quiet holiday. The only downside, which didn't impact too much on our holiday, was the rubbish collection which was quite simply 'rubbish'! We felt so sorry for the owners of the restaurants and hotels who are doing their best but the state owned waste collection is an absolute disgrace! I understand it is a major issue for resolution by the administrators and for their sake it better happen soon!
This is a pretty little village with a few tavernas, a couple of shops and an excursion place. It is great for getting away from everything and having a relaxing holiday. We loved everywhere we ate but our favourites were the Golden Sunset and Kalami Beach. Everyone is really friendly and helpful. There are lots of sunbeds on the different beaches, and the water is crystal clear. You do need water shoes though as there were lots of sea urchins at Kalami Beach but you can access the water from ladders on the pontoon.
Boukari is a beautiful fishing village, a choice of tasty tavernas serving super fresh fish and seafood. Little beach which is very relaxing, crystal clear waters (water shoes will help getting into the sea as it’s v pebbly) it’s a quiet spot, no bars so if you’re looking for a banging night life, Corfu town is about 1 hour by car and next village of Messonghi is about 6k along a narrow road. Hire a car or boat if you want to see the rest of the island. The locals are so so friendly.
Boukari was a beautiful place to stay on Corfu Island, there were many seaside restaurants to eat at and the ocean was always inviting for a swim. I had done my research before arriving on Corfu and we hired a car and ventured out each day and thoroughly enjoyed the experience even the crazy Greek roads & driving.
Beautiful and peaceful location by the sea, can hear the sound of the waves from the bedroom! Very welcome hosts (Costas and family), the food at their families restaurant Boukari Beach Tavern was excellent. Can't wait to go back!
