We stayed here for 3 days and absolutely loved it. The room was spacious, modern, clean, and incredibly comfortable. Eleni - the host was amazing - so welcoming and generous. We were treated to delicious homemade cakes twice during our stay, which was such a thoughtful touch. The breakfast was a true highlight: all homemade, plentiful, and incredibly tasty. This was by far our favorite accommodation of the entire trip. Highly recommended!

All was perfect! Specially the kind and care from Maria and Nikos. They were outstanding hostes that knows the exact science to be there for what we need (travels tips, accessories for the beach, hints on special spots, etc)… but at same time give all privacy to the guests.

Easy to book, the room is spotless clean, the bathroom is beautiful, the owner is amazing and the location is perfect for a couple of nights. Confortable bed and lovely shower. Nice little table and chairs outside the room with a small clothing line for letting swimsuits to dry outside. Kettle, small fridge, AC.

The beach is undoubtedly beautiful and very clean and great for all ages. However, it's just too crowded during peak season. Buses and buses come streaming in around 9:30 am. If you're adverse to very heavy crowds, skip this during peak season.

The beach is amazing, one of the most beautiful we've ever...

The beach is amazing, one of the most beautiful we've ever visited. Water is turquoise and sand is truly pink at the water's edge. Loved long walks, shore swims and the sand was amazing. Next to the beach is a conservation area that is really lovely and I enjoyed the walk! Walk across the relatively shallow water to the island to the right of the main beach. Get there early especially on weekends else all the lounge chairs will be taken! Do NOT park at the first parking lot as you enter town, the rates are MUCH higher than the $5 lot that comes next!

If you don’t stay overnight in the village and come by car,...

If you don’t stay overnight in the village and come by car, there are plenty of parking spots (3–5 € per day). The beach is beautiful — best to visit early in the morning (8–11) or later in the afternoon (16–19) when it’s less crowded. A small disadvantage is that there are only two tavernas nearby, and the mini market sells water at a higher price than elsewhere in Crete.

It's a nice beach and especially good if you are traveling...

It's a nice beach and especially good if you are traveling with young children since the water is shallow and warm. For my personal taste the main beach is too crowded and touristy and would prefer quieter more rugged beaches, but it was a great destination traveling as a family with a toddler because it was safe and clean and we were staying at a hotel within walking distance from the beach.

Great beach with varied water levels and temperatures from 20 to 30o C in the summer I’d say. Walk and swim around to find your perfect spot. The sand is wet in most of the places. A lot of nature but heavily visited especially on Mondays and Tuesdays from what it seemed to is during our stay. Two beach bars, two restaurants above, several room rental places, two supermarkets and some shops. Prices are a bit high from Crete, especially in the supermarkets, but still good options. The connection to Kissamos and Chaina is not bad, please not there is a new motorway section in the mountains that bypasses Topolia and its gorge tunnel that is not in Google maps yet.

Elafonissi beach is truly spectacular.

Elafonissi beach is truly spectacular. Definitely worth a visit. The beach is very crowded. The only alternative beach within a radius of 20 km has natural shade from trees (convenient in the wind). In case of wind, it is also quite crowded.

Everything you need for a visit to the pink beach and good value. Lovely selection of breakfast snacks and toiletries. Hair dryer, air con, drying rack and a supermarket just next door. A nice seating area to enjoy just outside your door. Restaurants and shops nearby on route to the beach. The host was waiting to greet us which was nice after a long drive. The car park is just opposite the rooms. Would definitely recommend Elafonisi paradise for a beach hopping stop over.
