The location, the staff and the comfort! Anastasia and the team were so welcoming and warm. It was bittersweet to say bye since I got so comfortable staying at Villa Drosos and the charming town of Litochoro. Anastasia was kind enough to suggest both the beaches to go to and a custom hiking plan for me. If you are in Litochoro, definitely stay here, it'll definitely make your holiday!

    Litochoro is the gate to Mount Olympus.

    Litochoro is the gate to Mount Olympus. Lovely place, close to Enipeas gorge, and it´s fantastic waterfalls and lagoons. On one side, few kms from the ocean, on the other side the mountains stand tall. So it´s a perfect place to start the hike to the Olympus, or just go to the beach. It is also the finish line of the Olympus Marathon, and I can only recommend. Nice cafes, restaurants, tourist shops, and the views are gorgeous.

    Very nice place, perfectly positioned between the mountains...

    Very nice place, perfectly positioned between the mountains and the sea. We have already spent the night in Litochoro twice on our way to the Peloponnese and Skiathos, but we decided to spend our summer here next year. The nightlife and entertainment is excellent, there are many bars and restaurants, especially when you go down the beautiful promenade to the river. In the town itself, we liked eating the most at the Meze-Meze restaurant with excellent food.

    The whole selling point of the town is Mount Olympus yet...

    The whole selling point of the town is Mount Olympus yet their blue ribband walk to Prionia is closed as five bridges are down. It is a national park and a unesco biosphere and yet the locals do not give a damn!

    Martina and her team were there to greet us, gave us helpful...

    Martina and her team were there to greet us, gave us helpful advice about hiking, rang a taxi for us to get to Priona to do a walk to the monastery and gave us extra pots and pans and some olive oil so that we could cook a simple meal in our room. We stayed in early May and our room on the second floor opened onto a large shared terrace with a great view of the town and mountains. Although this is a shared communal space, and could get busy in summer, we were fortunate to have it to ourselves most of the time. We also enjoyed meeting our neighbours when the adjacent room was booked. A peaceful and welcoming guesthouse with good facilities and very well located too.

    a quaint little town with twisting streets, small cafes, and much to explore, at the foot of Mount Olympus and within easy access of hiking trails and historic sites. For those wanting access to shopping Litochoro is less than an hour from Larisa to the south and perhaps 90 minutes from Thessaloniki in the north. A summer stay provides access to beaches located perhaps 10 minutes away.

    Me and my friends used Litochoro as a base for climb of...

    Me and my friends used Litochoro as a base for climb of Mytikas peak in mount Olympus. It is touristy place with many restaurants, shops and places where to stay. It becomes quite hot during the summer but i recommend it for a short vacation.

    Everything! The room is absolutely beautiful and cozy, it is spacious and in addition to the huge comparable bed there was a vintage sofa and a coffee table. When we were at our room in the evening the hostess knocked on our door and offered us a big piece of chocolate cake - on of the best I've had! The breakfast is rich with excellent food and drinks. It was probably the best stay we had during our 3 weeks holiday in Greece :)

    The owners (mother and daughter) are really nice and welcoming, they help with everything and fun to talk with. They also make great breakfast. There is a beautiul view to the canyon from the hotel balcony, and the town of litochoro itself is very nice. I Took this hotel because it was available at the last minute with good price, and I had a greater experience than I expected.

    The staff were so helpful and kind. They lent us a corkscrew and a water bottle when we were unprepared for hiking, and gave us hiking advice. This hotel is great value for money- you get a whole apartment and a BEAUTIFUL view of Litochoro and the sea, at your own balcony. Privacy and security were excellent. We had an amazing time.
