We had an amazing stay at Maleme Mare. The resort is clean and spacious with two pools and and nice clean beach just across the road. Hotel is also very family friendly and doesn't feel overcrowded. Overall it has a very relaxed vibe and food was also amazing. Staff were fantastic, friendly and extremely helpful with everything we needed. Big shout out to Alex, Elena, Nikos, Stavros and everyone else that took such an amazing care of us. We enjoyed our girls trip so much and will definitely be coming back again!

We loved everything about our stay. The hotel seemed full, but yet there were plenty of free sunbeds by the pool and the private beach. The best part of the hotel is the private beach, as it is very quiet and the beach is very clean. The hotel is isolated but still very accessible, so well suited for a few days of relaxation.

Kostas and Maria treated us like family. The apartments are fantastic. Location wise, is it almost central on the main street? It's a busy street at times. However, trafiic noise is minimal, almost none at all. Facilities are great. Rooms are serviced every day. A/C is free. There is a washing machine for all to use. Kostas brought fruit from the trees in his own garden. The pool is just the right size for the area. The area gets the sun all day. We had days where we just sat or laid down on the sunbeds, listened to our music and read. It's such an amazing place just to relax. Public buses are regular, Hania city is a couple of Erou,s one way and Kolybary with some great seafood Taverna,s and their free sunbeds on the beach. Our 3rd time in Malame, 1st at the Konaki, will be our regular holiday from now.

We had everything we needed and the house had a nice view. The house was very well equipped. They greeted us with delicious homemade moussaka, fruits, juice, milk and bottled water! They gave us great recommendations for restaurants and places to see. Hosts were very friendly and the facilities worked very well.

It’s an amazing place! Far from hustle and bustle, just 5 min walk from a wonderful beach that is never overcrowded This place is a good choice for those who wants tranquility far from busy beach life But it’s available just 5 -10 min ride The hotel is very clean with comfortable rooms and studios (we lived in a studio for 3) and had a wonderful well planned territory The swimming pool is absolutely clean and very beautiful, a bar and a restaurant are wonderful too I’ll be back there with a great pleasure

Spacious apartament in the old house. Charming, with a view (a little bit) giving onto the sea. Kitchen well equipped with all the neccesities. The wasching machine came-in really handy. Located with a nice distance from hustle of those all-inclusive hotel of Maleme beach. A real retreat.

Great place for staying in Maleme. Just near the beach, restaurants and shops a few minutes. Accomodation, reactivity and flexibility of the host. Appartement was clean and comfortable. Overall higly recommanded place!

A sleepy place in September just right for us alongside a quiet road but ideal for exploring. Maleme has a number of tavernas all of which had lovely food and ambience beside the sea. You could also find restaurants and tavernas in villages in the hills close which we enjoyed exploring.

It is unspoilt and part of Crete away from the madding crowd...

It is unspoilt and part of Crete away from the madding crowd but with all the things one needs for a good stay on this beautiful island. There is a supermarket, a choice of local restaurants, local produce and products, car and bike hire, hair salon and not too far from the busy lplaces such as Platanisa and Chania for more choices in shopping and amusemwnts if that is what one wants

Small and quiet resort with mainly big all inclusive resorts. Some very nice restaurants (Waves - particularly their burgers; Mythos; Black Lantern - homemade mousaka and Sunday roasts). Lifeguarded beach which was nice but often windy with waves which made it dangerous to swim in.

Excelent location, near a promenade with several tavernas and Shops, supermarket nearby within walking distance. The Villa has all amenities one can wish for, fluffy towels, great linen, even bathrobes and slippers. Towels for the sunloungers onsite and for the beach. Design and layout very spacious and everything is just perfect. The best surprise was a great host in Chara. She awaited uș with cold drinks and a great wine in the fridge, fruits and fresh cheese and bread. Chara made is feel as if we were friends visiting from day one. She gave great tips for dining and tours….overall the best villa and experience in 20 years with this type of vacation. Allowed for quiet relaxation or perfect start off point for nearby exploration. Loved the possibility for swims in the sea and walking back to the cosyness of the sun-loungers in the villa. One always has the possibility to spend the days at seaside on one of the free spots (free sun-loungers) on the beach bars/tavernas along the promenade/beach. Great host and great villa. In short: FABULOUS.

A few good little restaurants by the beach.

A few good little restaurants by the beach. Maleme Taverna / beach bar has great food and the sun loungers are free if you eat there. Same with Mythos bar, also good food at the Wave. Friendly helpful staff in all restaurants. I would stay away from the bigger hotels for food if you want good local quality food.

Lovely little hotel. Our room was nice and the pool area was lovely, never crowded and often had it to ourselves which was nice! Restaurant was nice, food was pretty standard but a decent price and lovely outside area. The staff were all lovely and friendly too. We hired a car and used the hotel as a base to travel to different areas, so didn't explore much of Maleme itself except for a few restaurants, but enjoyed the hotel and pool area in particular.

Hotel is right next to a beach and many of the rooms have nice view from the balcony to the sea. Staff is very helpful and hotel have nice very clean pool and is also suited for smaller kid's with a separate area. Right on the beach is Mythos restaurant where the food is really good and nice welcoming staff. So no need to go very far if wanting just to stay close to the hotel and relax. Close by is supermarket and other good restaurants too.

The hotel enjoys an excellent location, with restaurants, supermarkets, and parking conveniently nearby. It also offers its own parking facilities and is situated directly on the beachfront. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which added greatly to the comfort of my stay.

Lovely local hotel but close to other towns and the big city of Chania (all easily accessible by bus). Small and friendly and the staff are lovely. Easy to get a sunbed by the pool and such a relaxing holiday.
