Very warm and heartful family hotel with local food. The daughter(?) speaks excellent english and has a lot of recommendations to do. The accomodation is perfect for the Samaria (just 4 km away) hike as you can start early before the masses if you want. They drive you even to the start! But with a few more days there are more options, especially for some mountain hikes like the Gingilos. Had a lovely stay there..

Angela’s home is in a fantastic location, just a short drive from Chania airport and 10/15 minutes into the centre of Chania. The apartment itself is modern and spacious but with every comfort you could need and spotlessly clean. This was the best equipped self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in - Angela really has thought of everything you could need, from lots of additional towels, to a medical supply cupboard, chairs and umbrellas for the beach and even her wonderful home made olive oil. Angela was there to greet us and contactable throughout our stay. She really was born to host and we left feeling like we had stayed at a friend’s apartment with all the special touches she added throughout the stay, including her own home made wine and jarred olives. There is safe off road parking included and the location is great for exploring the west side of Crete. We visited locations such as Elafonissi beach, Falassarna beach, Loutro, Sietan Limania , Rethymnon/Magarites and the botanical gardens of Crete. The apartment is within walking distance of some nice tavernas and a local supermarket and the roof terrace with hot tub is great for relaxing on with lovely sunset views of an evening. We couldn’t recommend Angela’s home more, and would love to stay again! Thank you Angela!

Stavros, our host, was amazing. He brought us homegrown tomatoes, cucumbers and oranges, before heading into one of the fields next to the villa to bring back more figs, avocados and mandarins, truly authentic living. Both the villa and views are beautiful, whilst the outdoor grill and wood fired oven were put to good use.

Amazing. Simply amazing apartment. A nice and comfortable interior - but the view… it’s incredible. You have to be there to truly feel the atmosphere and vibe; no recommendation can convey that unique feeling. Also, the owners’ hospitality and service are top-notch. Already dreaming of returning 🙂

We were met by the most friendly and engaging hosts who showed us around and gave us lots of info about the area - we visited all three of the local resuarants, and walked round the lake thanks to their recommendations. The small pool was fresh and very clean, with the most lovely garden - lemon and orange trees and beautiful plants. We used the excellent BBQ; wood was provided. The house is about 20 minutes from Chania and the sea, with useful shops within 10 minutes.

We spent a week at the villa with another family and there was plenty of space for the 8 of us.The pool was a great size and the garden is beautiful. Nektaria and Nico were great hosts who recommended some lovely places to visit and eat. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we hope to visit again in the future.

Yet another property out in the countryside which is our preference. Near to the Botanic Gardens and on the road to Samaria Gorge. Great views over the countryside and a private pool. No shortage of oranges with the best juice of our trip.
