The beaches are all beautiful its hard to choose one as favourite. The island is not big so you can easily reach any place, even by bus. The only bad thing is that there are some beaches that you can reach only by boat and the tours are quite expensive
The beaches are definitely a highlight of the island. The quality of the roads is questionable as many are dirt or require a 4 wheel drive. Locations are isolated so transport is a must! Would definitely visit again but I would stay longer to allow me to explore it fully.
Our accommodation was not within walking distance of town. We would highly recommend hiring a car or quad bike to get around as there are not too many taxis available. We hired a quad bike which made it very easy to get around and easy to park !
Sarakiniko beach is an absolute must see that is out of this world! Take your car, bike or go by foot but don't miss it! Adamas is one of the cleanest and cutest port I have had the chance to see on a Greek island! Nice atmosphere at night! MEDUSA Restaurant in Mandrakia is divine! It is the only restaurant in that town so make reservations, especially in high season when they might have 100 people waiting for a table! Book a catamaran tour of Milos to go visit Kleftiko! Reserve with Milos Adventures and ask for the Chrysovalantou catamaran where Captain Paul and his skipper will provide you with a great tour but also the best food experience aboard an excursion boat. Both are chefs and restaurant owners in the winter :-D
