Characteristic small village packed with tourist like sardines in a box can and with little modern greek charm. Worth seeing once in a life time, but probably not worthy living in Oia where prices are much higher than in the rest of Santorini

We wanted a chill out holiday and spent ten days on the outskirts of Oia. Many visit for 3-5 days which ordinarily we would have done. Oia is picturesque and has many fabulous restaurants with stunning sea and sunset views. The local museum is also well worth a visit.

The apartment was very nice.
The apartment was very nice. It was quiet and within a walkable distance of the main Oia area, where the shops and the churches and the white buildings on a hill are located. They served breakfast in our terrace. They arranged for a taxi pick up, kept our luggage safe while it was time to check in, and check in was easy. There are a couple of restaurants really close that are not overrun by tourists. Everything was wonderful.

Santorini doesn't feel like a Greek island, it's an overpriced tourist island. EVERY single home has been converted to a hotel or villa to be rented to a tourist. NO GREEK folks in sight. So sad. But yes, very beautiful fake village. Pictures are beautiful too. I would skip Santorini next time and pick a few of the other Greek islands where the locals go for their vacations.

Oia is gorgeous at sunset.
Oia is gorgeous at sunset. The narrow walkways can not safely accommodate a lot of tourists. We witnessed a woman passed out on the ground near the main area. Some people were trying to help but it is much too narrow for proper care. Other tourists just walked by. The weather wasn’t even at an uncomfortable temperature and it was late May. I can’t imagine the risk during high temperatures and during peak season.
If you can visit Oia during the off season, you would enjoy it much more comfortably. It is so gorgeous outside the mass amounts of tourists it attracts.

The accomodation is not excactly at Oia but close enough by car ride or long walk.Oia itself is pricy as expected .You can purchase similar things from other towns such as Fira for lesser price.
It faces the sea and is quiet and beautiful.
The host is also very helpful even before we checked in to ensure our travel there will be good.
Suitable for small family or couples.
Nice view from the pool area, hotel is located about 25 min walking from Oia Center in Finikia, there is not public transport going to the hotel, only taxis or walking. Noisy and uncomfortable metal frame beds, also very disappointed when we came back late night that our dirty and wet towels wasn’t replaced.Breakfast needs an improvement, I had a better breakfast in a cheaper place in Santorini.Maria at the reception doing a great job, very helpful and kind person.
We absolutely loved our stay at Nimbus Santorini, the staff were absolutely amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The location was fantastic away from the business of Oia but next to a path to walk directly into the town. The view of Oia and the surrounding islands is unlike anything I have ever seen and is totally worth going for. All of the hotel staff were absolutely amazing especially Xanthoula, Raphael and Pierre.
Exccellent location, views to die for, privacy, sunset from your balcony, Does not have too many steps like other hotels in Santorini in general. city centre, restaurant, market, Oia castle, bus stop a little walk away, staff and manager was so helpful. If you are 6 people staying, its great value for money. Even for 2 people the view is worth the price! You cannot go wrong with this one, go for it!
This extraordinary hotel has the best location of all Oia and Santorini, right in the middle of the iconic blue domes. The room is super big and confortable, the bed is amazing and the view that you have for the pool is one in a lifetime. It is a beautiful place to create great memories.
Super helpful host, good location as long as you have transport (hire a quad bike online, many companies in Santorini will deliver to your hotel), sensible price given you’re only 10 minutes from Oia
