It has the cleanest Agios Isidoros beach, which remains wave...
It has the cleanest Agios Isidoros beach, which remains wave-free despite the strong winds blowing from behind the island's mountains and is not crowded even at the end of July. It can be reached from the Port in about 40 minutes by car via mountain roads. If you want to go to the center and back in the evenings, you need to leave the beach early. Or you must get used to eating late, just like they do. Everything is available in Plomari, but having a car is a must. You can visit the Barbayanni Ouzo Museum, which produces with traditional methods, get information about the story of the brand and the family, and do some shopping. Thanks to our host's recommendation, V'ammos Beach Club and Kafenéon Restaurant in Agios Isidoros became our favorite places.

Untouched by tourism, genuine Greek environment with a lovely town and harbour, lots of restaurant's but if you wanted to see more then hire a car, if not, perfect for a relaxed stress free holiday just to unwind.

Worth seeing for some nice beaches or coves around, and going to some nice restaurants.
It doesn't seem to retain the old character the way it probably used to, and yet it doesn't offer the vibrancy and / or cultural dynamism that are typical of many other centres on the island (Mytilene, Sigri, Molyvos). It is a bit of a sleepy place, stripped of the working class identity it must have had, and currently seemingly attempting to attract a new wave of tourism that is in a more extractive and shallow mode. It has a lot of potential though, and hope it finds itself and its unique quality again.

This is a wonderful hotel located right outside the center...
This is a wonderful hotel located right outside the center of Plomari.
It's about a 10 min walk to the main area. Hermes, the host, is incredibly friendly and looking out for each guest's needs. The views from each room are incredible and the rooms are spacious, clean, and lovely. There is a small beach right next to the hotel that is semi-private. I was incredibly pleased with Frini Studios and recommend it highly.

Plomari is picturesque and retains the traditional architecture of the Aegean. It suits especially tourists that prefer less noisy holidays, nice food at seafront taverns and endless amphitheatric views to the sea. It can also serve as a base for various excursions to seaside and mountain villages and spots.

Nataliya's place is a true gem in Plomari, just a few minutes walking distance from the center of Plomari and a short walk to the beautiful beach of Agios Iisidoros. Perfect spot for families and groups of (non-partying) friends. Nataliya is a superb host, we loved her offering her guests a cold, very sweet watermelon too! :) Make sure you visit the amazing restaurant in Ammoudeli overlooking the small bay, it is impressive.

The hotel is run by a lovely family. They are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean and big. Towels and sheets are changed every 2 days. Easy check-in and check-out. 3 minutes walking distance to a beautiful beach (Agios Isidoros Beach). 5 minutes by car to the Plomari center. Free parking space near the hotel. If you don't mind staying away from the center, I recommend this place.

It is very big apartment that you can stay with a big group. Besides, the location of the apartment is very close to Agios Isidoros beach which is the best beach at Plomari.
