It has the cleanest Agios Isidoros beach, which remains wave...
It has the cleanest Agios Isidoros beach, which remains wave-free despite the strong winds blowing from behind the island's mountains and is not crowded even at the end of July. It can be reached from the Port in about 40 minutes by car via mountain roads. If you want to go to the center and back in the evenings, you need to leave the beach early. Or you must get used to eating late, just like they do. Everything is available in Plomari, but having a car is a must. You can visit the Barbayanni Ouzo Museum, which produces with traditional methods, get information about the story of the brand and the family, and do some shopping. Thanks to our host's recommendation, V'ammos Beach Club and Kafenéon Restaurant in Agios Isidoros became our favorite places.

Untouched by tourism, genuine Greek environment with a lovely town and harbour, lots of restaurant's but if you wanted to see more then hire a car, if not, perfect for a relaxed stress free holiday just to unwind.

Worth seeing for some nice beaches or coves around, and going to some nice restaurants.
It doesn't seem to retain the old character the way it probably used to, and yet it doesn't offer the vibrancy and / or cultural dynamism that are typical of many other centres on the island (Mytilene, Sigri, Molyvos). It is a bit of a sleepy place, stripped of the working class identity it must have had, and currently seemingly attempting to attract a new wave of tourism that is in a more extractive and shallow mode. It has a lot of potential though, and hope it finds itself and its unique quality again.

This is a wonderful hotel located right outside the center...
This is a wonderful hotel located right outside the center of Plomari.
It's about a 10 min walk to the main area. Hermes, the host, is incredibly friendly and looking out for each guest's needs. The views from each room are incredible and the rooms are spacious, clean, and lovely. There is a small beach right next to the hotel that is semi-private. I was incredibly pleased with Frini Studios and recommend it highly.

Plomari is picturesque and retains the traditional architecture of the Aegean. It suits especially tourists that prefer less noisy holidays, nice food at seafront taverns and endless amphitheatric views to the sea. It can also serve as a base for various excursions to seaside and mountain villages and spots.

We absolutely loved staying here. Meropi was so kind and welcoming and made us feel completely at home. The location of the accommodation is incredible, you have great views of the sea and coastline and can walk a few steps down to the semi-private beach which is great for swimming. The room we stayed in was gorgeous and very well-equipped and we had our own private balcony which we loved. I would 100% recommend this accommodation to anyone who is staying in Plomari (it's also a very easy 15 minute walk into the town).

The hotel is completely new and only a few minutes to the beach. The sea is wonderful. Addie and Chris made everything easy for us. We liked the breakfast and the menu of the beach. We came as a family and we highly recommend the property. The sea and garden are great. Our room was clean, wifi worked well. We are very happy and we will definetely come back.

the attentiveness of the staff was amazing - the accommodation was well equipped, always cleaned and well supplied and on call - always friendly and welcoming. excellent location with a superb beach just 8 minutes walk away with lovely beach bar/cafe and fabulous Plomari also in walking distance or a short drive.

Everything was well maintained and clean. Swimming pool, close to beach and to pool bar in nearby hotel. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms and additional toilet. Spacious living room with kitchen. Big terrace and dedicated grill area. Very efficient AC.
