It has the cleanest Agios Isidoros beach, which remains wave-free despite the strong winds blowing from behind the island's mountains and is not crowded even at the end of July. It can be reached from the Port in about 40 minutes by car via mountain roads. If you want to go to the center and back in the evenings, you need to leave the beach early. Or you must get used to eating late, just like they do. Everything is available in Plomari, but having a car is a must. You can visit the Barbayanni Ouzo Museum, which produces with traditional methods, get information about the story of the brand and the family, and do some shopping. Thanks to our host's recommendation, V'ammos Beach Club and Kafenéon Restaurant in Agios Isidoros became our favorite places.

Untouched by tourism, genuine Greek environment with a lovely town and harbour, lots of restaurant's but if you wanted to see more then hire a car, if not, perfect for a relaxed stress free holiday just to unwind.

Worth seeing for some nice beaches or coves around, and going to some nice restaurants.
It doesn't seem to retain the old character the way it probably used to, and yet it doesn't offer the vibrancy and / or cultural dynamism that are typical of many other centres on the island (Mytilene, Sigri, Molyvos). It is a bit of a sleepy place, stripped of the working class identity it must have had, and currently seemingly attempting to attract a new wave of tourism that is in a more extractive and shallow mode. It has a lot of potential though, and hope it finds itself and its unique quality again.

This is a wonderful hotel located right outside the center...
This is a wonderful hotel located right outside the center of Plomari.
It's about a 10 min walk to the main area. Hermes, the host, is incredibly friendly and looking out for each guest's needs. The views from each room are incredible and the rooms are spacious, clean, and lovely. There is a small beach right next to the hotel that is semi-private. I was incredibly pleased with Frini Studios and recommend it highly.

Plomari is picturesque and retains the traditional architecture of the Aegean. It suits especially tourists that prefer less noisy holidays, nice food at seafront taverns and endless amphitheatric views to the sea. It can also serve as a base for various excursions to seaside and mountain villages and spots.

Although we only stayed one night at the hotel, it was a wonderful experience. The room was spacious, spotless, and featured a beautiful balcony shaded by olive trees. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and warm, making us feel very welcome. It's located just a 5–8 minute walk from one of the best beaches in Lesvos. I would definitely love to return for a longer stay.

We were very happy with this establishment. Not only was it perfectly located but it was also clean, comfortable, and priced just right. However special mention goes to the owners of the hotel, who are not only very hardworking and responsive to guests, but also extremely friendly and warm. 10/10, would visit again!

Absolutely everything we could possibly want was made available to us. We were travelling with 2 small babies and the host went above and beyond to ensure we have everything we needed. Close to Plomari village, very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip

Direct access to the beach anf the sea was very nice. City center, restaurants, market and uzo museum is walking distance approx 8-9 min. Maria is very helpful and kind. We'd prefer to stay here again if we visit Plomari once more. Parking was not a problem for us.

The owner, Maria, is very friendly and helpful. She also supported us with her suggestions. The place is right by the sea. The rooms are very clean, and all of them have a wonderful view. If I visit Plomari again, I would definitely want to stay here.
