The accommodation was warm, comfortable and the facilities were great. The location was also perfect as we did the Stemnitsa to Dimitsana hike. Our stay was 10/10!!

United KingdomA truly wonderful place with an amazing view over the village. The building feels brand new, with beautiful design both inside and out. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was lovely, and the apartment was spotlessly clean. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with thoughtful little gifts like mountain tea and tsipouro.
The real highlight, however, was the hostess. She supported us from the very beginning until the end of our stay and was incredibly kind and helpful. On the day of our departure, it was snowing heavily and the road was very slippery. She went out of her way to help us by clearing the snow and ice so we could safely reach the main road. We are truly grateful for her hospitality and care.
I would absolutely recommend this place without hesitation.

The village was great, we had some wonderful food there at...
The village was great, we had some wonderful food there at very reasonable prices. This village is nestled in the mountains, amazing views everywhere. The only drawback was no pharmacy, we had to drive to another village about 8km away. Not a big deal. The people were very nice and helpful as is the Greek tradition.

A very pretty town, spectacularly located in the mountains.
A very pretty town, spectacularly located in the mountains. The main square has several opportunties for refreshments and food served under the shade of ancient trees. It's super quiet and the air is fresh and clean. A creat base for a hiking holiday.
Getting here involves driving up smaller, but still excellent roads that hug the sides of mountains. The views as you ascend are often breathtaking.
Stemnitsa is also a very refreshing change of pace from the coastal towns, which are also fantastic, but which have a very different character. Stemnitsa is a mountain town, surrounded by trees and other lush vegetation. The air is fresher and cooler (though it still gets warm in the summer).

We visited in late April keen to walk the Lousios Gorge...
We visited in late April keen to walk the Lousios Gorge between Demitsana and Stemnitsa. We booked a B&B in Stemnitsa having visited the previous day. The walk was strenuous (good footwear, sticks could be helpful, take supplies) but knowing we were staying overnight in Stemnitsa B&B meant we had plenty of time. Beautiful flowers and bird life in the gorge as well as monasteries to visit. Lucky with weather, beautiful views and good clear pathway. The signposting for the walk is good. Ask directions at the Water Mill Museum as we added an additional hour taking the wrong direction.
Stemnitsa is welcoming to visitors. Cafe on the square was really friendly helpful and served great coffee. Helped order a taxi back to Demitsana the following morning. Enjoyed an evening meal in local restaurant with helpful staff and busy atmosphere. Lovely town centre to explore and as the season progresses more shops/restaurants will open.

This is a perfect location if you are hiking the Lousios...
This is a perfect location if you are hiking the Lousios Gorge. You can start the hike from the hotel. We enjoyed just heading down the hill and right in to town to start the hike..just 5 min walk to the beginning of the trail.

The host was helpful and friendly, the accommodations are an old house in a beautiful village, and have been adapted for guests, so the place is heavy on atmosphere. But the shower stall was smallest I have ever seen, and almost unusable, the room was for a couple, but with separate single beds that could not be pushed together, and getting bags from parking to room required long steep climb up stairs and stone path. Not easy.

Stemnitsa is a beautiful mountain town, smaller and less touristy than Dimitsana. Dining within town is limited, but there are some good tavernas within driving distance. We liked how quiet it was--no tour buses, just the unique architecture and views and good access to trails.

Miglari is a really beautiful hotel in a lovely location. The vision of the architect is wonderful - the historical features of the building are combined with modern design and colour. We both absolutely loved it. The village had friendly atmosphere and we found some great places to eat in the evenings. Dimitri, the manager, was so welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was divine. We stayed at the hotel to explore the local area - the natural environment was stunning. We had a really lovely time.

The building is an old traditional home, very typical of the village houses of this area, very well renovated, with huge old stonework, which means it is cool in the summer and warm in the winter The place is in a very nice spot in Stemnitsa, close to the center and with a nice view. The host is very friendly and very hospitable. I fully recommend it.

Very nice stay in the beautiful mountain village of Stemnitsa. Tasos and his grandmother did everything to make you feel at home. Breakfast is very good with many home made products. Room was very nice, beds comfortabel. Bathroom was good and also a nice terras where you can enjoy a drink. The village has a friendly atmosphere. We liked it a lot.

Lovely room with tea, coffee and water. The host met us with a welcome juice and biscuit. Breakfast was extremely generous. Very quiet as it is at the top of the village. A visit to the Prodhromou monastery just outside Stemnitsa is worth the 7 km hairpin drive.
