Just 250 metres from a pebble beach, Adelais is located in Tavronitis Village. It boasts 2 outdoor pools, a restaurant and 2 pool bars. Would have liked to see a toaster at breakfast and bigger cups! WHICH WERE NOTMUCHBIGGR THAN EGG CUP, The food offering did become a bit repetitive ie chicken or pork as meat nearly every day, but the salad offering was really good. Also needed to use microwave to make hot food hotter which was at best warm. Having said all of that the hotel is kept spotlessly clean and nothing g too uch trouble for the staff who also always seEmed cheerful and happy, Lovely locating with great views fromantic the upper bar and sun deck. Quiet but everything else jus a short bus ride away , the bus stop being just 3 to 4 min walk.
Boasting a garden, an outdoor pool and pool views, Epsilon III is situated in Tavronitis. Had everything you would need for a week stay. Lovely outdoor area to relax and eat. A really nice welcome pack, fresh fruits, water in the fridge. A great base to explore western Crete, local supermarkets and tavernas were great.
Situated in Tavronitis, 16 km from Kalamaki, Dempla Heights Villas Chania features a garden and free WiFi. The house was amazing. The views - spectacular. Petronella is a great host and we enjoyed staying with her. The location is perfect for daily trips to some of the best beaches in Crete, as well as to Chania and surrounding small villages. The house is extremely clean, with all amenities. Very quiet, perfect for exploring Crete. We recommend wholeheartedly.
Set in Tavronitis in the Crete region, Chez Angelika has a garden. The accommodation is 14 km from Kalamaki, and guests benefit from complimentary WiFi and private parking available on site. The house is exactly like the photos. It is beautiful you have everything what you would possibly need. Actually you have more then you would need, they took care of every single details from the kitchen foil to rubbish bags etc. Bed were comfortable, it was spotlessly clean. The house is by the old road in the village so it is easy to get anywhere from there. There are shops, bakery, restaurants near by. It is quiet at night no laud music or noisy people. The owner put a fantastic booklet together with recommendation. Such a wonderful idea. The hospitality what we have received is just amazing! They just could not do enough for us to feel special and it all came from their hearts. Grandparents are live on the premises and what a grandparents they are! Grandma Athena is the kindest and most caring lady ever! She is a very special person indeed! It is very rare to find a place like this. Thank you very much for everything!
Set in Tavronitis in the Crete region, Chez Athena/ Vacation home for 6 in Chania has a garden. The apartment was very comfortable, clean and well organised. Location as well very good at the main road with easy access to chania. But most of all the grandma Athina made our holidays unforgettable. She is amazing! Definitely we will come back.
Villa Diktina is a detached villa with an outdoor swimming pool, located in Tavronitis. It boasts panoramic views, a barbecue and a hot tub, as well as free WiFi and air conditioning. This villa has the wow factor - one of the nicest places we’ve stayed. The pool and sunbed area is just gorgeous we loved having a big lounge/kitchen and the balcony is great too. It was good meeting the hosts (who are really nice and helpful) at their restaurant to get the key before they showed us round - the food is brilliant.
Don’t even think about booking an apartment on Tavronitis. Mole on walls, dirty toilet and bathtub, damaged walls, nothing good about this place. Please stay away if you don’t want to ruin your vacation. I left the booked apartment 5 minutes after I checked in loosing almost $400. 00 euros. booking.com and Katerina from Tavronitis didn’t want to refund any money either I show them the pictures of the condition of apartment.
Tavronitis is a small village but has wonderful places to eat, a great bakery etc...it is also very relaxing and a good base for seeing western Crete. Michalis does amazing food canebo is also good and Paliria is fantastic, also Katerinas food at Haridimos apartments is well worth a mention.
We have returned to this area of Crete many times over the last 30 years and have an emotional attachment to the area. If you are looking for authentic Crete then Tavronitis can provide that. The bus runs through the village every half an hour but if you want to travel further afield and explore western Crete a car is essential.
The people, the smell of nature and herbs, the landscapes and seascapes, the buildings and lots of Greek quirketies. The true Greece without embellishments. If you want an authentic Greek holiday, Tavronitis is a good base. There are no nightclubs, it is a really relaxed holiday destination and you will be made welcome.
Tavronitis is a real Greek town (although we would probably view it as a village. The shops have everything you need and there are plenty of tavernas and kafenions 2 being along the beach front making for very relaxed evenings. The locals here are extremely friendly and willing to give advice if you want it. It is the Greece we all dream about. It is also next to the national highways although you do not see or hear the roads. This gives you easy access for touring the length and breadth of Crete easily. There is also a cash machine there which is very useful. Tavronitis is close to Chania but far enough away to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the island.
A town that has everything you need if you want to experience the real Greece. Plenty of bars and Tavernas but on a good bus route if you want to go further afield. The beach is within minutes of the town centre and there are a couple of good tavernas there as well. The locals - greek and ex pats alike welcome tourists and are happy to talk to you about the place and give advice if needed. Nobody is alone here. There are plenty of shops - supermarkets, bakery, butchers, hairdressers etc so if you want a quiet relaxed holiday you don't need to go any further although it would be a shame if you missed the nearby villages and of course the city of Chania.

the apartment was great: clean, confortable, new, perfectly equipped. A special thanks to Angelika's grandmother, Mrs Athina, for the kind welcome and for her homemade marmelade, tomatoes, bread, olive oil, raki…..Angelika gave us all the information to visit the most beautiful areas near Tavronitis and has always been unterested in our needs. I highly recommend this apartment. Crete was lovely

We chose this hotel because of the localization but in fact first you need a car to get there, second very close to the beach , but this is stone beach. So we did not spend any time on this beach.

Excellent hosts - helpful and friendly. Nice pool, not too busy. Incredible view. Good rooms on 2 floors. Mum travelling with just my 4 yr old son and felt safe in village and apartments. Regular, cheap buses through village run from Kissamos to Chania and all the stunning places between... Really easy to have days out and about
