I was cycling to the accommodation and arrived very late. They left a key out for me to check-in at 1am and provided a huge (and very tasty!) breakfast platter for me to eat when I arrived. Such great service! The room was also lovely and the bed very comfortable. Excellent place to stay!

If you like the freshness and calmness of the mountainous outdoors, if you enjoy majestic views combined with the quietness of remote villages, then "Balkoni Zagoriou" is the place to stay. This is a familly operated inn which offers accomodation with spectacular views of the Zagori mountain range. The food is prepared by Mrs Violetta and you really must try her homemade pies as well as their traditional pastries. Mr. Spyros is extremely helpful and will go out of his way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Their lovely daughter will serve your meals on the terrace, always with a smile on her face and very polite. We booked this double bed room for a weekend stay in the area due to our participation on the annual Zagori Mountain Run (happens every July). This place is about 15K from the start/finish line, or about a thirty minutes drive and is excellent if you want to participate in the event, spectate runners which pass right in front of the inn or simply do some trekking of your own (there are footpaths which begin right on the doorstep of the inn).

Amazing place - great views and very hospitable people. The breakfast was also great, including many homemade local delicacies and very friendly and hospitable staff. Nikos and all staff at the hotel were very welcoming, hospitable and helpful, including offering advice on what to do and see (and also offering a lift from car parking and back with our luggage on a magic mini-bus- thank you!)
