Incredibly friendly staff and cozy rooms. Dimitris had a lot of great recommendations and helped us when planing day trips. The breakfast was excellent, very good coffee. The restaurant had excellent fresh food and wines. It was a perfect package.

The owner of the hotel is a very kind lady. She offered some refreshings as soon as I arrived to the hotel. The room was big and very clean. I was travelling by motorcycle and safe parking is availabile in the garden of the hotel.

A great scenic place in Zagori - an ideal base for exploring the area. There is so much to see. Nice clean room, extremely helpful staff. A young host ( do not know her name) spoke fluent English and was very helpful including arranging ice for my wife's injury and suggesting walks in the area. A massive delicious breakfast will keep you going for many hours. Jacuzzi with great views was was a nice place to relax after long hikes.

The hotel was a cosy one with about 8 rooms in 2 buildings. Run by 2 sisters Danai & Lena, it has their personal touch in the decor and warmth. We were warmly welcomed with cups of hot tea and coffee and felt immediately at home. The hotel is a 5 min walk from the village which has quaint stone houses and a nice square to relax and have a meal. Hotel Vikos serves meals there and has a nice seating with views in the square. The rooms were spacious with high quality amenities. The beds were soft and comfortable and the heating was right for the mild cool weather. The Kores restaurant is next door and quite good, albeit a bit pricey. Breakfast is in the building behind and they had prepared a full breakfast for an early departure for us. Freshly squeezed orange juice and eggs to order along with fruits, break and finally a delicious home made cake. The ambience, hospitality and food made us feel at home. Highly recommended !

What an absolute gem! The couple who own and run this hotel are simply incredible. They go out of their way to make you feel at home – offering detailed advice on walks, recommending authentic tavernas. Our room was immaculately clean, cozy, and had everything we needed (great Wi-Fi, comfy beds, lovely bathroom with unlimited hot water). Waking up to the smell of freshly baked breakfast and the hostess’s warm smile was pure bliss. Breakfast is 10/10 – all homemade, generous, and delicious. We travel a lot around Greece and this was hands-down one of the most heartfelt and memorable stays we’ve ever had. Vitsa is the perfect base for exploring Zagori, and this hotel made our trip unforgettable. Highly, highly recommend!

A great starting point for a day hike through the Vikos...

A great starting point for a day hike through the Vikos Gorge and possibly a second day's hike. There are three places in Orpheus for food and drinks during the day. When I stayed, only the guesthouse restaurant was open in the evenings with a limited menu. The dishes you can string together are excellent, with generous portions.
