This place is amazing! First of all the super friendly owners, who take wonderful care for their guests and beenig always present to help. We got great hints for hiking. We faced an unexpected health issue during our stay and Dimitri was incredibly helpful and supportive, far exceeding any expectations. If you love authentic regional cuisine, this is the place for you. Andromachi is a fantastic cook. She will surprise you with her traditional recipes.

A lovely experience at the Meliteion. The hosts are so welcoming and friendly. The room is really comfortable and decorated in warm and relaxing tones. I arrived late afternoon and got great advice to hike up to the highest point in the village and watch the sun set over the mountains. Stunning. Great breakfast! Thank you, I will return.

A large house with three spacious and well-designed bedrooms with another sofa bed in the central space of the second floor. Perfect for families traveling together. The rooms gave the feeling of a five-star hotel, the showers are new and luxurious, the whole house has been renovated and everything is new and beautiful. Fully equipped kitchen, beautiful yard with a view of the village. We arrived in cool weather and the house was heated by central heating. You can enter by car, but because the road is narrow, you can also park on the road and take a short walk. In our case, the hosts were in the village and welcomed us and even helped us. The hosts were charming, they thought of all the little details both in terms of home design and on a personal level.

Perfect location to see Zagori region by car. The owners are very caring and prepared the house very well for comfortable stay. I would rate in booking 12 if it would be possible :). My advice for others is to rent it, and you will be pleasantly surprised.

The village is actually old settlement and it felt walking 100 years ago to the narrow stone street. We enjoyed the place ,which is a relaxing spot close to the main hotspots. The property was perfect and spotless and really enjoyed the fireplace after a long day.

This is a lovely guesthouse, in a great location in the village and right at the start of the Vikos gorge hike. The host was exceptional, very warm and welcoming, made sure everything was ok for us and the breakfast was especially great. We highly recommend Konstantinou & Elenis.

Monodendri is located at the upper end and above the Vicos Gorge and has a lot to offer in addition to a number of good restaurants and charming hotels. With beautiful hikes in and around the gorge, the Agios Paraskevi monastery and its own historical buildings, you can experience quiet and relaxing days away from the main tourist crowds.

I loved the stone villages and back-in-time feeling of this...

I loved the stone villages and back-in-time feeling of this area! So exciting seeing horses on the hill. A very unique experience compared to our usual visits to the Greek islands only in the past! We enjoyed the tide pools, a hike to the Vikos gorge and a drive to Mikro Papingo. It was a bit quiet in early May so do come them if you want to avoid crowds.

A pretty and quiet area.

A pretty and quiet area. There is not much in Vista but the next village is only a 5 minute drive with a few restaurants and cafes. I would say you definitely need a car if staying in Vitsa. Some lovely scenery and walks within driving distance.

Kipoi is a very quaint little village with 2-3 restaurants...

Kipoi is a very quaint little village with 2-3 restaurants and thats it. It was easily accessible to the Zagori region close to the most famous bridges and main towns and the unbelievable Vikos Gorge which you have to visit, we went to the Óxya viewpoint which was amazing . A very beautiful area to visit but a very long drive from Athens especially if you come on one of the smaller roads, rather use the highway to get to the area then adventure around, we took a small road and spent half a day driving through forests with nothing to see. The map of Zagori that the hotel gave us was a great help Monodendri is one of the larger villages worth visiting - if you like to hike take your time and follow the tails that range from 1 to 5 or so km from the various bridges it is so peaceful and the forest beautiful. Once you have seen the top 5-6 bridges and 2-3 villages it all becomes the same so don't stay too long if you aren't walking. Beware...... not all villages have fuel so don't run too low

We went mid January and all the restaurants/ cafes were closed. Had to travel to other near by villages for dinner. There are no shops eigher. Not sure how vibrant the village is at different seasons but if you want a more lively area Vitsa was wonderfull, Aristi was nice as well.

Great hotel clean and has an awesome view.

Great hotel clean and has an awesome view. The breakfast is great and healthy, the food also at the restaurant is great pricy though but worth it! The room is comfortable the heating is great and the wellness center is a must to visit and book a massage. A car is a must to be able to go around as most sightseeing destinations and activity are far away.

A family hotel in a lovely village,

A family hotel in a lovely village, in my opinion the most worthwhile place in Zagoria. We stayed at the hotel for four nights; Sofia and her two sons, Christos and Theodore were charming, made us feel at home. Spacious rooms, excellent service, generous breakfast. The hotel also has an Italian restaurant with a selection of excellent and delicious dishes. And most importantly, it's their humanity and caring. warmly recommended!

I went for the walks, they were brilliant, made it to Dragon Lake. The only mountain holiday I've been on where you can smell the herbs when you inadvertently crush them as you walk, enjoying the wild flowers and the variety of butterflies whilst in the midst of some stunning scenery. And it is stunning. Was very fortunate with the weather. Plenty of restaurants to choose from.
