"Parga in April was getting ready for the season. There were some tourists,so we didn’t feel alone, but great time to see a Greek town being itself. It’s a great town, with steps and small cobbled streets. Great location as a base to explore nearby beaches and mountains. Plenty to do in and around Parga. Would totally recommend it for May or September 😊"

"I always pass rapidly through Igoumenitsa. This time there was a port strike and I was forced to stay two extra days and nights, and I discovered it is a very nice town. Probably I will always spend the night there again when I pass through. I can recommend the restaurants Ambrosia and Navtaki (near the fantastic Holiday Zigos hotel) and -- in town -- the small fish restaurant Palio Limani. I would also recommend the Archaeological Museum, which is full of interesting objects and very well presented and organized."

"Ideal for those who love mountain air, Alpine conditions, unspoilt forests and outdoors sports ans activities. There's a skiing piste just outside Metsovo and miles of mountains, valleys and local fauna and flora where you can forget about city life and daily stresses.
Although very touristy in certain occasions, this unique village keeps a charm of bygone days, a distinct identity, foods and still the disappearing Aromanian or Vlach language which is steeped in History. Local pastas, dishes and cheeses are amazing and distinct."

"Small and pretty seaside town. It was not flooded with tourists hence it was perfect. Would recommend taking the Amvrakikos Dolphin boat tour. Preveza is a good location as there is an international airport and you can do day trips to Parga and Lefkada. Most shops are shut between 2-6pm but its a very lively town after 6pm!"

in my opinion the most worthwhile place in Zagoria.
We stayed at the hotel for four nights;
Sofia and her two sons, Christos and Theodore were charming, made us feel at home.
Spacious rooms, excellent service, generous breakfast.
The hotel also has an Italian restaurant with a selection of excellent and delicious dishes.
And most importantly, it's their humanity and caring.

Oh and the swimming pool had the perfect temperature, and the shower had a unique style!! We were thinking of staying for one night, but two wasn't enough!! Found my favourite hotel at Ioannina!!

If you pass near Metsovo and decide to spend 1or 2 nights in this beautiful village the right spot is Archontiko hotel(no doubt).We spend a night there and we were sorry that we didnt have more time to stay in this gem at least for 5 days.First to start with the owner-such a nice man,so kind, available 24/7,ready to help with everything and to make your stay unforgettable.Thank you Mr Giorgos!The hotel is so clean,so beautiful ,so traditional with amazing view to Pindos!We stayed in Junior spa suit,big room with nice furniture,terrace with breathtaking view and a bathroom with personal jacuzzi.The room was very warm ,it has also a fireplace,but we didnt light the fire,because it was warm enough.There was some water,juices and tsipuro in the mini bar and it was a nice welcome.Everything was absolutely fabulous!And in the morning we were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast-hand made spanakiopita,fresh local cheeses and other tasty things.We enjoy our coffee on the terrace where is a swimming pool and an outside jacuzzi and again the view and the fresh air.I recommend this hotel ,it is one of the best places we have ever stayed.And finally I can say that I can't describe the hotel well with words,you must see it with your own eyes.It worths staying there!Thanks again to Mr Giorgos!

We were greeted at the reception by the kind and helpful Maria. We were upgraded to a deluxe room without asking, a large and luxurious room with 2 wide balconies, great view to the lake. The hotel is clean and well equipped, an excellent pool, a very good breakfast with a large and delicious selection.

The breakfast buffet is rich with a lot to choose from, but it becomes a bit monotonous after a while. For a couple of nights we had a dinner buffet as well (also advertised in the lobby) which was great, but again very monotonous, the dishes were almost the same every night. A couple of evenings there were not enough guests so we were served full course meals instead. They were okay, but if we knew in advance there would be no buffet, we would have probably chosen to eat in a restaurant outside of the hotel instead.
The staff is nice and helpful.
The view from the pool and the outside restaurant area is really nice - beautiful sunsets every day.
There was always a cat present at breakfast and dinner, so be nice and share some food :)
The towels were replaced every day, but our balcony was never once cleaned during a week long stay.

Frontzu Politia is my favourite spot in Ioannina, location is probably as good as it gets, the atmosphere is amazing and the boutique feeling with the traditional touch is a perfect combination of modern and traditional, I would recommend it 100%, staff is always helpful and very friendly, going out of their way to assist.
The breakfast is a whole experience on its own as it is located in the highest point with a beautiful view of the lake and the entire city. Additionally mr Giorgos that has been looking after the guests in the breakfast is like a walking encyclopedia for the city and surroundings, he is always offering information and tips.
As for the food it is great with local options, fresh eggs etc. Do not miss it!

Firstly the beds by Coco-mat are extremely comfortable, went out and got a coco-mat bed once back home. Secondly it is like a well tended garden, beautiful flowers everywhere plus fresh fruit to eat off trees. The food was good as was the beer. I recommend Greek night, starts off quietly but soon turns into a real party, flying plates and all. Staff are very attentive and helpful. Must go again in September.

We were initially planning to go there just for sleep (on our way to Athens) but it turned out to exceed expectations.
We ended up playing tennis, sipping a cocktail by the pool and had a lovely dinner. Food was very good. Staff was very prepared and really polite.
I would most definitely like to be back

A pretty harbour, with the old town built into the hillside, venetian houses, a castle over looking the sea, an island in the bay, all very picturesque.
Parga is a bustling town, we visited back end of June. The airport is about an hours drive away. A good base for exploring the inland villages, Acheron Gorge, boat trips to Paxos and Sivota for the Blue Lagoon and its islets (Boat rental in Sivota with Blue Lagoon Cruises)
Favourite restaurant Taverna Hani Parga - very traditional, a few streets back from the harbour, serves a fabulous Goat dish.

Very good destination. 99% greeks, all works, well equiped, close to airport, beaches in 10-20 mins drice just great. Center crowded in the evenings but not disturbing, lively and cozy.
Perfect base for trips to beaches and wondering around, famous for marina, but nothing too fancy, easy going.
Small shops available, all services you need working perfectly. Car rental in cash or whatever card you want, easy to hire, boats for rent, restaurants, bars, real surprise and will be back realy soon.

We spent only one night in Ioannina, but the experience was...
We spent only one night in Ioannina, but the experience was truly enjoyable. We visited the impressive Perama Cave, had a great dinner at Mavili Square, and loved walking through the atmospheric alleys of the castle. The next day we explored the island on Lake Pamvotida with its museums, and we left feeling that Ioannina deserves even more time to enjoy its natural beauty and surrounding villages.

We took a boat trip around the bays of Sivota at sundown and it was exquisite. We swam in the sea where there were very few other people and got to watch the sun go down over Corfu. Seeing the mainland from the sea is toally different to being in Sivota itself. It was the highlight of the trip - along with the huge number of great value restaurants in Sivota with a fab choice of food to eat.

Port city.
Port city. People usually stay one night waiting for a ferry or arriving from one. But it has kilometers long beach just a busride away (Drepano, Makrigali). Restaurants are extremely cheap. Still, I would recommend to come by car, so you can visit Syvota-Bella Vraka, Parga, Plataria, Ammoudia (I recommend this for small children for it's shallow and very warm water). We really enjoyed fishing in the port before sunset.

The location, facility, amenities, and especially the staff were simply superb. The breakfast was great and the dinners were definitely a wonderful culinary experience. I highly recommend Aristi Resort.

This is a beautiful village- time stands still here.
This is a beautiful village- time stands still here. Even the very touristy places have delicious food, great prices and wonderful service. It's authentic Greece and you can tell the locals love and care for their town.

We had rented all three apartments.
We had rented all three apartments. There is a great yard, space for three or maybe four cars. The host Alex welcomed us. He constantly took care of us, that we lacked nothing. A very nice person with whom you can talk about anything. Whatever you need, he will deliver it to you or tell you where to find it. Will it be a shop or a beach! Whatever he says will be little and insufficient.

Parga is beautiful. Definitely worth visiting. Lots of restaurants, cafes, bars and local shops . We tried many of the restaurants and bars also the bakers . My husband also had a haircut at the barbers
