What is not to like here? In the beautiful nature this wonderful eco hotel. With an angel behind the reception. We came hiking but made a mistake in the timing so she put us in her car and drove all the way back to fetch our car. That is great hospitality. The food was really wonderful. Completely different from the more touristic Greek way of cooking. During our stay in Greece we never had such good meals as in this restaurant. From the hotel you can do several hikes. The instructions for these hikes are available at the reception. The room was nice with a good bed with soft and crisp sheets and wonderful thick towels.

Getting there was easy thanks to the clear instructions; I received an email with photos and a map, so I found the holiday flat straight away. I was able to park my hire car safely and in the shade right outside the door on the private property. The holiday flat is exactly as described: a wonderful terrace, a separate bedroom, a living room with a kitchen, and a bathroom with a bath and a modern washing machine. Everything worked perfectly; I used the excellent oven every day. The fly screens on the windows were very useful to keep mosquitoes for example out. My host, or rather the hostess’s father, was very kind and welcomed me with a few eggs from the free-range hens; later, i was even treated with delicious home-grown lemons. To my shame, I don’t speak a word of Greek, and my host only spoke a little English, yet we managed to communicate reasonably well. Communication with Marilena, the daughter, was always easy via the internet. The location is exactly as I’d hoped: very quiet, without any hustle and bustle, rural – a ‘Nature House’ in the truest sense of the word. With a hire car, you can easily explore the area, as well as the nearest larger town, Chania, and the beaches and coastline to the west, without having to drive long distances. We stayed here for 3 days and absolutely loved it. The room was spacious, modern, clean, and incredibly comfortable. Eleni - the host was amazing - so welcoming and generous. We were treated to delicious homemade cakes twice during our stay, which was such a thoughtful touch. The breakfast was a true highlight: all homemade, plentiful, and incredibly tasty. This was by far our favorite accommodation of the entire trip. Highly recommended!
