GermanyWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The value for money is excellent. The hotel is very clean, beautiful, and well-maintained, with great facilities and comfortable conditions. The staff are very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We especially enjoyed the beautiful view from our balcony, the delicious breakfast, and the lovely garden in the heart of the hotel, which creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
Everything was well taken care of, and we really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a beautiful hotel with great service at an excellent price. We would definitely love to come back!

GreeceWe are so happy with our choice, will come back again 1000% we wanted something different, typical greek village, Zaros is beautiful you sleep with the crickets chirping and wake up with the rooster crowing. Tap water in Greece, NO! In Zaros you can drink it and we did, a lot! The owner was very nice and helpful, we had homemade lemonade, water, raki and a fruit plate waiting for us. Kitchen is equiped with everyting you need if you like to eat "at home" as we do. We saw the next day that there is a homecooked menu in the appartment possible, which you have to order the day before, we'll try that for sure next time. Nice big balcony, bathroom even has a washing machine. The village has minimarkets, cafes and restaurant, lake Zaros is just a few minutes away with the car.

SlovakiaZaros is a beautiful, peaceful village in the Cretan countryside, renowned for its exceptionally high-quality spring water, which is exported all over the world. The whole area has a very pleasant feel to it – surrounded by mountains and greenery.
The accommodation is situated right in the centre of the village, so the shops, cafés and restaurants are within walking distance.
The flat is very nicely furnished and spacious. It has two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms with showers, which is very practical, especially for longer stays or when travelling as a couple or with a family. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, even for a longer stay. The double bed is slightly smaller, but overall the accommodation is comfortable and cosy.
Zaros as a location offers many advantages – beautiful countryside, friendly people and great access to hiking trails and well-known places in the surrounding area.

NetherlandsThe house is perfect for 4-6 persons. Enough room to relax. The kitches is perfect to make meals for 6 people. We did love the walk from the house to the small lake close by. You walk through the center of Zarós and can stop by the mini market, the hakery or get some good coffee. Everyone is nice and inviting to you.
And the suroundings, the nature and most of all the quietness at night and in the morning.

It's a modern apartment, with everything you need. It's also quiet and spotlessly clean.
A short walk from here, are numerous great restaurants.
The helpful lady owner is also very friendly and a pleasure to talk to.

The hospitality was incredible!
The hosts were so warm and welcoming and made us feel very comfortable from the moment we arrived. They had prepared a lovely welcome for us, with raki and other fresh treats from their garden!🥂🍅The house was also very well equipped with everything we needed.
The location is very quiet, which makes it perfect if you’re looking to get away from the crowds and truly unwind.
The garden was beautiful and peaceful, definitely one of our favorite parts of the stay.
Overall, a wonderful experience!

The village is peaceful, full of charm, and perfectly...
The village is peaceful, full of charm, and perfectly located for exploring Crete. It has everything you need within walking distance — a grocery store, bakery, crepe shop, and several places to eat. The people here are incredibly welcoming, and we experienced true Greek hospitality and kindness. It’s a place with character, where you can relax and enjoy local life, yet still be within easy driving distance of all the island’s main attractions.

I loved the serenity. It was a perfect escape from the City.
I loved the serenity. It was a perfect escape from the City. A night without the usual mod cons is quite OK. The trout from the local restaurants was perfect for dinner.
I would suggest avoiding the heat of Summer.

Very peaceful location. Authentic unspoilt village.
Very peaceful location. Authentic unspoilt village. It was like stepping back in time. No touristy stuff at all..not even a souvenir shop as far as I could see.Surroundings are incredible. I was a solo traveller and felt very much at home there.. It'd a big draw for walkers..I just wanted to chill and enjoy the views .

Zaros is a village in the mountains ,it has the famouse lake of Zaros and the spring and the famous water of Zaros. It has traditional food and helpful lokal people. You can visit in the summer as well in the winter.

This came a bit randomly in our trip and we’re glad it did.
This came a bit randomly in our trip and we’re glad it did. We loved Zaros for both the warmth of its people and the beauty of its decor. Our hike in Rouvas was great and every encounter was like it was family members.
One of the highlights of our trip to Creta. If you like getting closer to people and their culture it’s a must on your list.
If you’re into more attractions or shopping this one is not for you.

A very nice area of olive groves and brush from 500 m up where you can go hiking right from the hotel (Agios Ethimnios, Rouvas Gorge) or from Lake Votomos. You can also visit monasteries (in particular Vrontisi monastery). Plenty of good and very affordable tavernas around.

Beautiful hotel right in the heart of Zaros, we loved the rooftop pool which gave a glorious view of the hills as well as a refreshing dip. The room was so pretty. Staff were so helpful and their restaurant recommendation for our evening meal was the most perfect restaurant. The breakfast we had the following morning was delicious

Beautiful and relaxing setting looking at surrounding hills. Spacious apartment with all you need and nice pool to cool off in. Dimitris and family are wonderful and friendly hosts. Short stroll into Main Street of zaros. Highly recommend the property.
