I went during the "off-season" and that was perfect for me.
I went during the "off-season" and that was perfect for me. I was able to catch up on much needed relaxation and quiet time. Though, I hear during the "peak-season" you can find tons of activities to do; even more than golf and spa (the only two things that got me out of the resort aside from going into to the town of Tela, which is about a 15 minute car ride away).Guest review byAdam JUnited States - 8.0

We arrived in May during a bit of an off-season in tourism but all tours and shops were still open and accessible. We stayed for 4 nights as it was our first location of the trip and just wanted to get our bearings. I’d recommend 2/3 nights. Tela isn't insanely rich with different tourist thing you can do, however they have some very nice beaches. The overall vibe was pretty welcoming, we stayed mostly within a 15 block radius of our hotel (Maya Vista). Highly recommend staying there as well as going to eat just a few buildings down at The Family Food Truck. Again wonderful family vibe, good food and drinks are available and decent prices.Guest review byChristianCanada

Everyone was very friendly, enquiring about our stay and whether we were happy with everything (including activities outside the hotel). The rooms and the rest of the facilities were kept spotless. We saw a number of improvements (refreshed rooms, an additional pool, and a new building which is yet to be finished). The hotel has managed to keep up with the homely vibe.
