Preko is a small city across Zadar and is a perfect location...

Preko is a small city across Zadar and is a perfect location for hiking, biking, long walks and of course swimming in the beautiful Adria. The city has many small shops and Tommy and Plodine are very near. Connection to Yadar is every hour and the time is 8 do 20 minutes depending if one takes the boat directly to city center or goes with the ferry. The view from the St. Mihovil fortress is unbelivable and worth a walk. Preko has also sandy beach and a very picturesque small island where one can take a walk, or kayak around it. It ahs also many biking routes. So for small family and sport lovers this is a perfect spot. Secure, quiet with beautiful nature and diversal activities.

First weekend in October and almost everything was closed,...

First weekend in October and almost everything was closed, nothing really to do there. Luckily it was nice just being in the hotel spa and going out for a walk or a bike ride, but thats it. Probably wonderful in the summertime. :)

Beach Jaz is good for kids and poor swimmers.

Beach Jaz is good for kids and poor swimmers. The little island is a delight. We stayed only a short while and I got hit by a cold so we didn't really get around much. All needed infrastructure is near and there are enough connections to Zadar is someone wants more.

Preko is a very beautiful and magical place with its own, rather calm atmosphere. Suitable for relaxing by the sea, walking, sitting in cafes and restaurants. But it is also worth more active walks, exploring the island, the view from the castle of St. Michael on the surrounding islands, etc. The color of the water is incredible and clear.

Preko was fantastic, there's a great ferry service to Zadar...

Preko was fantastic, there's a great ferry service to Zadar (always on time and very economical - just make sure you get the right one as there are two, one to the old town and one to the new!) but more than enough to do on the island itself. There are plenty of nice places to eat, little shops, a couple of supermarkets and a beautiful marina. We hired bikes and paddle-boards (can highly recommend Martin the 'Rent-Man') and so were able to explore a lot more of the beautiful island - we completely fell in love with it.

The hotel is located on the front just a short walk from the ferry terminal in Preko. The rooms are not huge but they are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The pool area is gorgeous and the hotel's bathing area on the shore is so relaxing with great views across to Zadar. The restaurant is superb if a little pricey. Best of all are the staff. The team is professional and friendly. Loved it!

Wonderful! Beautifully furnished, brilliantly equipped, extremely comfortable beds, two lovely patios and shared swimming pool! Location in Preko fantastic - just a very short walk to the beach. Josep and his wife provided such warm and friendly hospitality. They are very kind, generous and wonderful people! We enjoyed sampling Josep’s homemade products! Location was fabulous, we had a fantastic view it is 200 metres uphill though moving around Preko it is hilly. Location very quiet which we enjoyed. Ivan and his parents were very welcoming and friendly. The property is ideal for a couple looking for a relaxed break/holiday. Many thanks
