Multiple beaches within walking distance and super markets about 4km away.
Very quiet neighborhood and very peaceful.
Sunset spot just 2 min driving.

There is a many small piers where you can moor a rented...
There is a many small piers where you can moor a rented motorboat, and it is also possible to anchor a rented yacht in the bay. There are several restaurants but I especially recommend Restaurant Koceta in Privlaka, about 15 minutes by bike from middle Vir - it is located slightly off the main tourist route, but the food is excellent, especially the grilled fish and calamari, and the prices are very attractive. On Vir itself, Okusi Mora is also worth visiting for good fish and grilled dishes.

The beaches are beautiful all around Vir, so there are plenty options to choose from. The thing I was missing was some kind of that typical promenade filled with cafes and small shops where you can stroll during the evenings. What I appreciate is that the grocery stores/supermarkets are virtually everywhere,

Vir is quite tourist-centric, which has its advantages and, unfortunately, its disadvantages. The island itself is beautiful, I like the hustle and bustle (although we were in Lozice, a little further north, in a quieter part) and there are quite a few restaurants to choose from. However, the shops in the area are like the domestic (Hungarian) department stores at Christmas, no matter what time of year we went shopping: full, the lines barricaded, a minimum of 10-15 minutes waiting at the cashiers. The beaches are nice, the ones we went to were clean, although unfortunately I saw quite a few people littering... There is also the possibility of a short excursion around the red rocks on the far side of the island, the view from there is amazing. The locals were nice, but the car traffic is quite chaotic - narrow streets, everyone is in a hurry, not many people know the stop sign, etc.

Vir is a village-style resort with limited infrastructure. While there are several restaurants and cafés, the food offerings are quite repetitive—mostly chips, grilled meats, and common fish dishes, with little authentic Croatian cuisine. Most beaches are rocky, with Lanterna Beach being the only one with pleasant sandy areas in the sea. Some water activities like jet skiing and SUP are available, but rental prices are high.

Vir in Croatia is now experiencing a huge increase in tourists thanks to new better roads and exciting experiences for visitors. It is important that everyone treats nature and the local people well so that the beautiful island can be enjoyed by future generations too.

In the center of Vir is absolutely neccessary to develop...
In the center of Vir is absolutely neccessary to develop PEDESTRIAN ZONE and pavements.
Restauranst are OK, however many of them prefer group of 4 and more people and couples have to wait to be seated.
There are many supermarkets and bakeries.
Do not expect any historical or cultural experience, Vir is more for beaches and sailing.

We had a very good stay in Vir. The apartment is well equiped with all necessities. It is large enough to accommodate a family of 5. There is also outside dining area. The kids of course apreciated the pool. :) The hosts were very responsive and helpful!
The nearest beach is just 10-15 minutes walk, as well as there are at least three restaurants nearby.
The apartment is quite away from the Vir centre, but we aimed for peace and quiet, so it was perfect for us.

The apartment had a beautiful terrace with 2 sunbeds, was fully equiped, clean and nicely decorated. Owners were very kind and helpful. They gave us tips what to visit while on Vir. We will certainly came back! :)
