Had an awesome experience at Batu Katak Jungle River! Herman and his wife are both very friendly and accommodating. I did two jungle treks with Herman and we saw lots of wildlife as well as the Arun Titanum Flower in bloom. He is a great guide with heaps of knowledge about the local flora and fauna. You can feel his passion for nature when he's talking. His wife also cooked the best food that I've had in Indonesia so far. Will definitely come back for a longer stay!

We stayed for 4 nights at Hidden Corner and we absolutely fell in love with Ruddy, his family and friends, and the beautiful Batu Katak. While the accommodation is simple and cozy, the hospitality is world-class. They make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. ​We were traveling with children, and the way the family looked after the little ones was heartwarming—they truly cared for them and made sure they were comfortable and happy throughout our stay and treck. ​Ruddy also helped us organize a fantastic trekking experience that felt authentic and respectful of the environment. And the food... simply incredible! Our entire group agreed it was the best food we had during our trip; the last night we had the best curry we have ever eaten in our lives. ​If you are looking for a genuine experience away from the crowds, this is the place to be. We can’t recommend it enough!

10 Stars! Batu Katak is absolutely incredible! And I do mean Absolutely Incredible. If you want to experience the jungle, stay and trek and raft and swim in the rainforest with Black Gibbons, Thomas' monkeys and Orangutans; if you want to wade through a kilometre of limestone stalagtite water cave amongst bats and cave crickets and a thousand wonders of nature, come to Batu Katak Leuser. Add to that the cooking, the fruit, the jungle knowledge and the care and attention you will receive from the gentlemen and ladies of Batu Katak Leuser and you can have the experience of a lifetime.
