The room was in extraordinary taste, and was big and comfort. The bed was excellent. The farm and the gardens are great. Nick, the host, was very welcoming and responsive, and gave excellent ideas (the Furey's pub was fantastic). The best place we stayed in Ireland. We stayed for one night, but would definitely would stay 4-5 if we knew how great this place is in advance!

The Johnstown Estate

Hotel in Enfield

Set within 120 acres of stunning parkland, this luxurious 4-star resort has been developed around a magnificent 1750’s Georgian residence in Enfield, County Meath. Apt was above and beyond. When we called the office to ask how to turn on the A/C (record breaking heat), they broke it to us that there is no A/C and a charming maintenance man brought us 2 fans. Dinner in the pub became the measure of all Irish meals--wonderful fish, exquisite seafood chowder & our first Guiness in Ireland. The perfect welcome!
