Very clean -which I always appreciate , warm, excellent water pressure, quiet & access to trails for running or riding bikes. Also local bike hire in town, which is only a short drive down road. Catherine & son Ben, our hosts were excellent ! Photo added is of local water fall near Dungarven that some locals told us about.

This was so much better than staying 20 min up the road in Waterford. Lovely little village with a harbour and beautiful driving around this area. We came through Kilkenny, Waterford and the tiny picturesque old village of Inistioge. Inistioge was a gem, beautiful little coffee and photo stop on the way. Dungarvan had loads of good restaurants and cute pubs, however, in March things were shutting for a meal early, around 7.30pm. Go out early for dinner, or you will end up with takeaway. There are a few of these options. Good provision shopping here also with an Aldi and shopping centre.

    Plenty of restaurants, bars, shops.

Plenty of restaurants, bars, shops. In driving distance of many fabulous beaches and the Waterford Greenway. We went to Youghal and Waterford city, both steeped in history. Everret's restaurant in Waterford and the Indian Ocean in Dungarvan were top restaurants, highly recommend both.

Dungarvan is a family friendly place. The town is thriving and has a good variety of shops and restaurants. There is plenty of parking. Best of all is the stunning scenery, walking trails, and beaches.

Dungarvan is a great town with nice people.

Dungarvan is a great town with nice people. There are newer built shopping facilities in the town that are not really that great compared to the feeling of the main square and its surrounding boutique type shops and bars. Took the train from Dublin Heuston station to Waterford direct (2 hrs 15 mins) and used local X55 coach from Waterford town Bus station (5 mins walk over the bridge) and onto Dungarvan (50 Mins), made the journey really easy.

The location is excellent near the town and the bus stop to get to cork. Dungarvan is beautiful! The rooms are dated but comfy. Main areas of hotel are a little grubby in places but tastefully decorated. Some of the chill out areas are super cosy. The breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. I loved the Irish soda bread! We ate once in the bar area food was ok. Nice bar area with big tv.

We stated at the hotel overnight on route from the Rosslare ferry to West Cork. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and food at dinner and breakfast was very good. Our room was a triple however only 2 of us and there was plenty of space and storage. The bathroom looked like it had recently been renovated and was very clean. The hotel is only a few minutes' walk from the town centre.

Really nice property; Kay was a wonderful host, the rooms were cosy and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Very good location within Dungarvan too, just a short walk to the town centre and near several bike rental shops for those planning on cycling the Greenway.
