Set in a Designated Area of Natural Beauty, the award winning BrookLodge & Macreddin Village has elegant modern rooms and extensive facilities which include an indoor-to-outdoor pool, Hammam massage... Fantasy staff especially Amanda who responded in a most professional and quick manner to a small issue we had with our room.
Located in Aughrim in the Wicklow County region, Macreddin Rock Bed & Breakfast has a patio and garden views. This bed and breakfast features a garden and free private parking. It took us some time to find the B&B in the Irish countryside but it´s worth the effort because as soon as you arrive you feel like you discovered some hidden paradise ! We felt very welcome by Margareth, her husband and family. The house is beautiful, very clean, tidy. Wonderful breakfast that features a typical Irish version with sausages, eggs, bacon..but also healthier options such as home-made porridge, fresh fruits, brown bread, fresh juices.. The hosts gave us a lot of hints about the region of McReddin, what to see, where to go and eat. On our last evening we had the chance to observe Margareth and her family taking care of their sheeps and moving them from one field to another and we got lucky enough to give them a hand ! The area of MacReddin, Aughrim, Wicklow is stunning and romantic. We will come back to explore the rest of the county. In 3 words : An unforgettable stay :-) Sandy & Rémi

Set in Aughrim, Clone Country House features a shared lounge, garden and free WiFi. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. We loved the relaxed atmosphere and epecially no TV in rooms. The house is decorated very sensitively to period building and has loads of charm. We look forward to returning.

Woodenbridge Lodge is nestled in the stunning countryside of South Wicklow’s Vale of Avoca. Set in landscaped gardens overlooking the Aughrim River, it offers modern rooms with free Wi-Fi. Everything. The staff were so helpful, they went above and beyond. Breakfast was brilliant, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Our favourite hotel we stayed in during our holiday in Ireland.
This 400-year old hotel is nestled in the beautiful Vale of Avoca, overlooking Woodenbridge Golf Club. Its modern rooms have free Wi-Fi, while its AA Rosette restaurant serves full Irish breakfasts. Clean, comfortable and friendly Hotel. Have stayed several times and booked in for New Year with my extended family. Value for money and great location.
Aughrim lovingly maintains its status as a beautiful Tidy Town. It is also friendly and provides all of the basics. More dining options are not far away in and around Arklow on the sea. The walks in and near the village are stunning, and run the gamut of difficulty.
Aughrim is one of my favourite places in Wicklow that I have frequented from my youth. The scenery is always pleasing even if it rains. The people are friendly, welcoming and helpful. This village has a Chinese takeaway now in addition to its other eateries. It is a place, I return to many times and never grow tired of it. It always has something new to experience through my different stages of life.
Most liked the setting and the old country feel of the properties. It was relaxing and cosy. The food was expensive but fabulous. It's a very rural setting but not safe walking the roads. A car is essential. Didn't enjoy the spa area. Pool was cold. Jets were broken and weak. Not must else to do there.
In Aughrim for a wedding locally - set in beautiful Wicklow lots of places to see around - we discovered Woodenbridge and visited the memorial to all who died from Wicklow in the First World War - very sombre, definitely worth stopping to see
Aughrim is a lovely little city with a mix of country club golfing and local Irish hospitality that makes you feel at home. We went for a pint and stayed for hours after invitations from the Paddy’s barman to go to O’tooles for Irish family music. The community makes you feel like you have been there dozens of times before and expect to see you again.
Just a nice drive to Dublin Macreddin village a must to visit dine organically and stay if lucky enough to get abed in brook lodge next door everthing quiet quirky Aughrim could be great if tidy town could flower it up a bit .

The huge bath. The wonderful charm of the 350 year old house. The warm greeting from the owners and how well we were looked after for our weekend. A very comfortable bed. Recommendations for local restaurants were greatly appreciated. The astonishing value for money. As a combination, does it get any better than this??
