Calwons Bayith is a beautifully restored guest house situated in the quaint village of Cavorim in the Chandor region. As you enter the building, you walk through the cool marble floored hall , past the indoor swimming pool, and into one of the four guest rooms. The rooms are modern and very stylishly decorated, the double bed is big and comfortable. We were met by Clifton, the owner of the property, a lovely kind and helpful man who, with the help of Muny, made our week long stay a pleasure. A breakfast of your choice is included at a time that suits you. We had cereals, fruit & yoghurt, and toast every day . Muny will do eggs as you like them, too. A short walk away through the beautiful surrounding countryside is the town centre .here you can pick up supplies from the shops and local market.The guest house has cooking facilities so you can get your fresh fruit and veg here. In town there are also two 500year old Heritage houses. It is very interesting to learn about local history and get a feel for life in medieval Goa.very nice buildings and architecture. At the guest house,in the evenings, it was nice to sit in the garden beneath the gazebo ,with a drink, and listen to the local wildlife . Altogether, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.if we are ever in this area again, a stay at Calwons Bayith would be a must.

My experience at Mansao Curtorim has been exceptional. Everything from the beautiful restoration of the old Portuguese house, the wonderful manager Nazeem and his team, the peace and quiet of rural Goa, the extraordinary sight of thousands of migratory birds from Central Asia overwintering in the Curtorim Lakes has made my stay exceptional. I came here to complete some writing deadlines and it was the perfect choice of beautiful surroundings and peace and quiet away from the touristy beach scene. I highly recommend Mansao Curtorim, and I will definitely be back.

A place where you feel in heaven. I have traveled to many places in the world and this is definitely one of the most beautiful I have been to. The hotel grounds are huge and full of fruit trees such as mangoes and coconuts. The pickets are clean and new. The pool is perfect.

Tricky but not impossible to reach if you don't have a car or motorbike. We ttavelled from Mardgaon Junction Train by bus to Cuchorem and then eventually found a taxi for the last 7km and so glad we did. Dudhsagar Plantation is a total gem. Great hospitslity and knowledge from the staff, smart, clean basic, but comfortable bungalo accommodation and great home-cooked vegetarian food. The highlight was also cooling off inthe beautiful cool freshwater pool. The stagf easily sorted a taxi for our return. Thank you all at Dudhsagar Plantation I look forward to returning another yea. For now thank you for a memorable few days!
