I think this is the only houseboat in the lake with all side window room, i.e. from inside your room you can see the full lake and mountains , you even don't need to come out of the room. And also there is private deck. staff is really good. they served home made food which was good.

Absolutely incredible experience!!! I couldn’t say enough about it! Picked up from the airport and taken across the lake to a warm little boat right on the lake! Incredible view and very quaint and quiet! The family was so nice and the food they made was fantastic. They showed me around the city, took an unforgettable 4 day trek in the Himalayas where we camped went fishing and ate like kings. I will definitely be returning for a longer stay and trek in the future. After all this they setup my bike rental to ride the leh circuit! The host treats you like family and I couldn’t have enjoyed this trip more! Best stay in Kashmir !

Honest review - I chose this property after a lot of research. What i liked was that the property is right in front of dal lake and has modern amenities and services. The food is really good (had veg dinner and breakfast buffet). Maybe not value for money since it's a little pricey, but considering the options, it's a great place to stay. The staff was prompt and the services deserve appreciation.

Absolutely AMAZING property. We stayed for 5 nights and loved every minute of our stay. The rooms were clean, nicely furnished and comfortable. Amazing view from the windows and rooftop deck. Very attentive staff. The owner, Bashir, is a calm, gentle, wise and somewhat mystical personality wondering around the grounds. 100% recommend!

    It's beautiful place with friendly people, I was afraid to...

    It's beautiful place with friendly people, I was afraid to visit after hearing so much bad news but I found people from all community freely intermingling on streets and lot of respect and affection. Presence of security forces everywhere gives a different feel than any other Indian state. I would recommend everyone to visit Kashmir without any hesitation.

    Srinagar is naturally a very beautiful place with majestic...

    Srinagar is naturally a very beautiful place with majestic mountains all around and a couple of beautiful lakes. Exceptionally beautiful gardens with numerous varieties of flowers are all around the dal lake. Nishat, Shalimar, Cheshma Shahi and tulip gardens are a must see. The shikara rides and walks around the dal lake in the evening are so relaxing and romantic. A stroll in the downtown in the evening brings you closer to the place with lots of shopping areas and malls. The traffic can be a problem during the high tourist season so plan the day accordingly. Kashmiri Wazwan is a must to eat at a good restaurant like Ahdoos or Shamyana. Wazwan is the Kashmiri cuisine and you can not leave without tasting.

    we did not go any of attractions as we were just not...

    we did not go any of attractions as we were just not interested in... went to Lal chowk to check out the local scene and had the Kashmiri meal at AHDOO under the houseboat host recommendation .. it was fine dining clean but the Wanwan meal .. was alright... nothing to shout about...wished we could have shared that plate as it was quite large portion

    Despite a stray most heinous incident (?) of 22/04/2025 at Pahalgum on tourists, the average Kashmiri people are with the tourists, with people of India. I feel we, the Indians, should reciprocate their love and respect and continue to visit as an Indian state, as a matter of strong solidarity and against any terrorism threat.

    Scenic areas were fascinating and memorable. Traveling to places of interest were frustrating due to heavy traffic and local mafia tactics in some areas, It appears the tourists industry employers recruit staff on very low wages and expects the tourists to make tips to subsides workers income level. Could not agree with entrance fees and exit fees to some towns. Local towns were were quite untidy and unclean at olaces.

    The site is just next to Dal Lake and has waterfront views. This is, I believe, the most affordable option for this distance. The only issue I found during my stay was with the electricity, but I believe this common in this area. Owners told me that they are planning to renovate this property next month. Although there is still some cleaning to be done, Backpackers can get away with it. This place is better than Zostel Srinagar because of its affordable price and convenient location.

    Best exclusive property in Srinagar. Qayaam Gah was the most special stay for us in Kashmir, from the hard to find location, the beautiful and comfortable seven villas, Sufi music performance at sunset, morning yoga session, and of course the stupendous views being surrounded by the Zabarwan mountain ranges and Dal Lake spread out in the distance.

    The rooms are clean and hygienic with necessary amenities. The hotel location is good and at walkable distance from Dal Lake. This is the best budget hotel you can get in this area. The owner and caretaker are nice people, they also helped us get sim card as only postpaid sim cards work here. It's best for budget travelers.
