Our highlight was going up the lighthouse at Kollam Beach.
Our highlight was going up the lighthouse at Kollam Beach. A great outlook. On the whole we didn't find too much to do in the Kollam. The park wasn't that great and the beach wasn't where we'd like to swim. We enjoyed walking around some of the side streets off the busy roads.

Its a beautiful town with loads of greenery, lovely beach & break waters, people are all good & very supportive, the property we stayed 'D'Fort was excellent with all modern comfort, It was bang opposite the Old Fort & near the Portuguese AD 825 Light House, which is well maintained. The sad part was that footwear was not allowed to enter the Light house, so we did not go inside as it does not make sense as a tourist to walk bare feet & get injured as its not a sacred ground to follow the rule of removing footwear, I suggest Tourism dept. to seriously look into this for loss of revenue from tourist & foreign travelers.

Kollam is the land of cashew nuts...Kollam beach, Thanni beach, Jatayu sanctury, Thenmala, munroe island, and lot of shopping malls are there in Kollam.... Thanni beach is the new touristic spot and it is developing now.... the place Thanni is located in between the lake and the Sea... so visit Kollam and enjoy....

After coming from Kovalam, we felt the beach here was not as interesting or clean as the former. The outside vicinity of hotel had only a few small tea shacks & uninteresting neighbourhood. For getting around, you may get a few auto rickshaws irregularly.

Stunning natural beauty on a large lake! We stayed 2 nights but could have stayed a few more, as we didn't get to check out the beach really at all, and it's a great place to slow down & relax, a bit off the beaten path for tourists (there were a handful of others when we were there).

I see the heaven of peace in this land. Its an unbelievable stay here. All the staffs were so kind and more helpful that I had ever seen from other resorts.I want to say my most hearty thanks to the staff members specially for Reshmi for giving such a good refreshment treatment for my partner.No words to describe for this land of peace. The candle light dinner served by Guest Service was very kind and helpful and was also so energetic (I forget her name Vidya I think).The evening sunset cafe was also so beautiful memories given by the land. Once again thanks alot for giving this stay for all of you guys.I just forgot for saying the house keeping staffs also (I didn't remember the name-Sreela) she was so helpful.
