Nice hotel right in the center, very kind staff, lovely cosy room, clean and comfortable. Everything was well maintained and the atmosphere was pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff at Hotel Spagna are so welcoming it was hard to say goodbye. The owner Stephan, Elizabeth, Maria, and Christina - were all so lovely I extended my stay in Arona. Then after checking out I left my bags at the hotel while collecting a hire car. I was back hours later than I’d advised and had no way to communicate. I realised after collecting my things and driving away that Stephan had kindly waited around hours for me to return instead of going home so he could let me back in - but he didn’t even say a word was just friendly and gracious. Thank you so much Stephan - I’m writing this from a tent in the Alps which I couldn’t be doing otherwise. I’m so glad I chose little Arona to stay in and this hotel. It has been my favourite in over a month of travelling from Australia across Europe. Thanks for showing the cheeky Italian spirit; and also letting me have breakfast at 1pm after long sleep ins! Amazing good place to stay. Free parking next to the hotel. And I don't want to sum up all the good things, it's too boring. The restaurant has 2 waiters, they should play in a movie...chapeau, but they don't know... 🤔😂

Beautiful and comfortable hotel minutes from the station and the lakefront. I booked a basic single and was upgraded to a lovely double. The room was big, warm and very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Without exception the staff are amazing, warm attentive and extremly helpful. The location of the San Carlo is simply Stunning the views over the lake are amazing day and night. The restraint is excellent also great wine. Many thanks to everyone forr making my stay perfect I look forward to seeing you again soon. Jon

Wonderful staff. Welcoming, cheerful, accommodating, and helpful. The location is brilliant right on the river, and next to the square with bars/restaurants.

Very clean, nicely organized, with super convenient parking just next to the room and friendly stuff (well, okay, for Italian standards at least).

The hotel facilities have been recently renovated with outstanding quality and finishing. The restaurant is excellent, service, food, wine and all. The views from daylight to and beyond sunset over Lago Maggiore from the dinner tables must be among the most pleasing anywhere.

Great service with very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful view and I loved the vintage vibe inside the room :) The breakfast was good and we had dinner as well which we were very happy with.

Room and hotel were very clean

It is difficult to describe the hotel as you won't be able to give the correct impression. Very quiet area, the rooms facing the lake are a piece of paradise with the sound of waves. Good breakfast and the staff were all amazing with a big smile at the reception, provided help as much as they can. Would strongly recommend this hotel for a quiet weekend for couples.

Amaizing location, close drive to attractions. Weather wasn’t kind, but I am sure great over summer time.

Only good things to say about this place: the building, the grounds, the decor, the food. Above all, the people - staff in all areas of the hotel were incredibly warm and welcoming, and made our trip very special.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The room was clean modern and very comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit. Breakfast had good variety and location was perfect.
