The ancient village of Bard is very picturesque.

The ancient village of Bard is very picturesque. Numerous trails of varying difficulty surround Bard. The Via Francigena and the Sentiero Balteo pass through Bard. A visit to Bard Castle is very interesting.

The B&B Il Nocciolo is located in Perloz, 5 km from Bard and 3 km from Pont San Martin. You have to go up from this village, but the road, although winding, is not difficult. You sleep very well without any noise. There are two parking spaces available on the street, a stone's throw from the property.

A historic site (where Napoleon's troops were blocked for several weeks by the Bard fort) worth visiting. It's clearly visible when traveling down to Italy via Aosta, but it's worth stopping for a while.
