We loved the host, they are very attentive! From the moment we arrived until the time we left they were always very helpful. At breakfast she bought bread and prociuto because I said I loved it. My recommendation is that if you have the opportunity to stay there, stay there.

The hotel was beautiful, extremely tastefully and quirkily decorated. The staff were very nice. The location was excellent and near to restaurants and shops. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed comfy. We arrived on a motorbike and parked in their garage.

Everything, even that the owner reserve a free of charge place to park a car right in front of the door with her car and after coming we could exchange her car for our one , as all other places were occupied. And after check-out we again did the same routine. I guess for the next guest. Wewre convinient and spacious appartment and well-equipped.

We loved the location of Benevento and thoroughly enjoyed...

We loved the location of Benevento and thoroughly enjoyed the city itself - the city center is very attractive. We spent 3 nights in Benevento in early October but we could have spent more. It's a perfect base for exploring surrounding areas like Naples and Campania in general. We enjoyed walking in the pedestrian friendly areas of the city center, especially in the evening, and we visited the Museum of Sannio and the adjacent Church of Santa Sophia, which was fantastic. There are additional museums there and we would have visited them if we had more time. The Janua Witch Museum looked especially interesting. Numerous options for restaurants and for shopping.

A hidden gem.

A hidden gem. There are a number of absolutely wonderful historic places to visit -- off the beaten path and amazing. It's a town that is not too big and not too small. Great restaurants and some good shopping.

Benevento is a beautiful town with lots of history.

Benevento is a beautiful town with lots of history. A refreshing change from the hustle and bustle of big cities. It's clean and the people are friendly. We loved our stay! The gelato is great. Also there is a bar in the park where you can enjoy a Spritz and listen to some music.

Lots of historical sites in Benevento, an often overlooked...

Lots of historical sites in Benevento, an often overlooked destination. The downtown center is very clean and seems brand new, due to the fact that it was heavily bombed during WWII and then rebuilt. There is an incredible Roman theater there along with a Lombard church from 700 BC, also the Arch of Trajan, one of the best preserved Roman structures in Italy. There's also a very interesting Samnite museum, Museo del Sannio. Lots to see. And good restaurants as well including Il Posto and Rosetta al Arco. Everything is closeby and easily walkable.

Apart from the Teatro Romano there is an interesting old town which is easily walkable. It is also a ggod base for exploring the area of the historic sites to the North of Napoli, such as the amphitheatre at Caserta. There are a small number of restaurants, but of good quality serving typical cuisine.

Benevento is a city and comune of Campania, Italy, capital of the province of Benevento, 50 kilometres northeast of Naples. It is situated on a hill 130 metres above sea level at the confluence of the Calore Irpino and the Sabato. In 2020, Benevento has 58,418 inhabitants. It is also the seat of a Catholic archbishop. The city is calm and quiet, offering bars and excellent restaurants, one of which I go to every time; Pampanini, probably the best one in town (in my opinion).

Beautifully appointed, clean and generous space. Location was ideal and our wonderful Host Marco (and family) made our stay an authentic Italian get away in Benevento. Marco could not have gone out of his way any more with introductions to Benevento and the people, reservations to restaurants and making us feel at home. We would highly recommend going to Benevento and staying at B&B AL TEATRO ROMANO.

Bed&breakfast Attentive owners, gave all tips about Benevento, attractions map and good restaurants. Great location. Far from the train station but close to attractions and great restaurants. Anyway, it can't be close both to the train station and the main attractions,because train stationis far. Large room with firm mattress. Wifi works well.

Lovely room that served its purpose as a stopover from Pescara to Sorrento. Lovely and clean with a hot shower . Nicely positioned in Benevento , right next door to a very nice Pizzaria Bar ( whose owner Vincenzo is amazing). Mirko the owner was very helpful!
