We loved the host, they are very attentive! From the moment we arrived until the time we left they were always very helpful. At breakfast she bought bread and prociuto because I said I loved it. My recommendation is that if you have the opportunity to stay there, stay there.

The hotel was beautiful, extremely tastefully and quirkily decorated. The staff were very nice. The location was excellent and near to restaurants and shops. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed comfy. We arrived on a motorbike and parked in their garage.

The property was clean, cosy and the ideal location to explore the ancient city of Benevento. Everything we needed was provided. Whilst the property was perfect for our family, it was our delightful hostess Celeste who made the experience memorable. Our host was really helpful and cheerful. She helped us secure parking. The apartment itself is well equipped and tastefully decorated. It is close to almost everything so we didn’t move the car for two days. Great place to stay when in Benevento. Owner speaks English. Breakfast is coffee and croissants from cafe on adjacent street. It has a really cool basement which looks like a museum! I would stay here if we ever visit again.

We loved the location of Benevento and thoroughly enjoyed...

We loved the location of Benevento and thoroughly enjoyed the city itself - the city center is very attractive. We spent 3 nights in Benevento in early October but we could have spent more. It's a perfect base for exploring surrounding areas like Naples and Campania in general. We enjoyed walking in the pedestrian friendly areas of the city center, especially in the evening, and we visited the Museum of Sannio and the adjacent Church of Santa Sophia, which was fantastic. There are additional museums there and we would have visited them if we had more time. The Janua Witch Museum looked especially interesting. Numerous options for restaurants and for shopping.

A hidden gem.

A hidden gem. There are a number of absolutely wonderful historic places to visit -- off the beaten path and amazing. It's a town that is not too big and not too small. Great restaurants and some good shopping.

Benevento is a beautiful town with lots of history.

Benevento is a beautiful town with lots of history. A refreshing change from the hustle and bustle of big cities. It's clean and the people are friendly. We loved our stay! The gelato is great. Also there is a bar in the park where you can enjoy a Spritz and listen to some music.

Lots of historical sites in Benevento, an often overlooked...

Lots of historical sites in Benevento, an often overlooked destination. The downtown center is very clean and seems brand new, due to the fact that it was heavily bombed during WWII and then rebuilt. There is an incredible Roman theater there along with a Lombard church from 700 BC, also the Arch of Trajan, one of the best preserved Roman structures in Italy. There's also a very interesting Samnite museum, Museo del Sannio. Lots to see. And good restaurants as well including Il Posto and Rosetta al Arco. Everything is closeby and easily walkable.

Apart from the Teatro Romano there is an interesting old town which is easily walkable. It is also a ggod base for exploring the area of the historic sites to the North of Napoli, such as the amphitheatre at Caserta. There are a small number of restaurants, but of good quality serving typical cuisine.

Benevento is a city and comune of Campania, Italy, capital of the province of Benevento, 50 kilometres northeast of Naples. It is situated on a hill 130 metres above sea level at the confluence of the Calore Irpino and the Sabato. In 2020, Benevento has 58,418 inhabitants. It is also the seat of a Catholic archbishop. The city is calm and quiet, offering bars and excellent restaurants, one of which I go to every time; Pampanini, probably the best one in town (in my opinion).

This is perfectly located in the centre of Benevento, less that a minute walk to the shops, restaurants and cafes. The bed and relax is beautiful with the stone coming through and to help keep us cool we had a portable fan. The hosts had left us the right amount of towels for our family, and had 4 bottles of water for us when we arrived.
