It was a nice quiet hotel with a beautiful pool. We rented bikes from the hotel to go to the Ultima Spiaggia beach and back (about 10 mins by bike). The breakfast was fine and the dinner was fine too. The staff was helpful.

It is a lovely place and has wonderful hosts - elegant, pleasant rooms located in a wonderful garden, very well-kept space around, beautiful plants. We are very pleased. To come across such a place is truly exceptional luck. Delicious breakfasts, prepared by the hostess. Cakes, fruit, cold meats - all very good. The hostess is very nice, she doesn't speak English, but that's not a minus 😊 I definitely recommend it.

Eveeything perfect. Nice hotel, few minutes away from the historical center of Capalbio. Spacious room with nice view on the surrounding hills, possibility of using the kitchenette for a small fee for stays of less than for 4 nights. Beautiful and well equipped pool area (top pool bar). Top breakfast with high quality products. Cherry on top was however the whole staff: super friendly, really helpful, always smiling. Such a wonderful stay, we are definitely planning to come back.

The hotel overlooks a spectacular valley yet is right in the...

The hotel overlooks a spectacular valley yet is right in the town. You can walk to any of the restaurants and even the hilltop tower within minutes. If you are exploring the lower Tuscany region (Tarot Garden, Saturnia, etc) this IS your base. Incredible breakfast, very comfortable beds, great staff. When travelling we usually like to try new places, but when we return to Capalbio we will also return to Valle Del Buttero. It is that good. The closest restaurant is a 2 minute walk. L'angolo Di Capalbia was great - obviously a local favorite, and we were pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the cuisine at very reasonable cost.

Charming hilltop ancient village with delightful winding...

Charming hilltop ancient village with delightful winding passages, a castle, ramparts, spectacular views and very good restaurants. The residents are very friendly. Capalbio is close to the Jardin des Tarots de Niki de Saint Phalle which is why we picked this village. It is also not far from the sea. You need strong legs for this village but take it slow and many delightful secrets are revealed. I intend to return soon.

Best wine and food in Italy.

Best wine and food in Italy. Fantastic salumi from Marcelleria norcineria La Ciccia del Brigante, all made by the same man who also serves in the shop in Piazza Silone Ignazio. La Porte and Trattoria Toscana restaurants both great Low light pollution at night, the Milky Way visible in many places there. Accommodation expensive.

Capalbio is worth visiting.

Capalbio is worth visiting. The views are beautiful and the architecture is charming. There are a few restaurants that are worth checking out. Is is worth visiting the Tarot Gardens if you can. If you don't have a car you will need to take a cab to from the train station. Worth it!

This is a very special place. You start to relax the moment you drive through the gates. The hotel exudes understated luxury & elegance. The rooms are very well appointed. The bed is one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in. All the staff are incredibly professional. The hotel is spotlessly clean. There is a good beach 10-15 minutes drive away & an exceptional one (Feniglia) about 30 minutes away

Beautiful and quiet rural location with a magnificent garden. Remote, still close to the coast, the Argentario peninsula, Capalbio and the famous Tarot Garden of Niki de Saint Phalle. Excellent base for cycling tours. Superb host. Nice breakfast with a wide selection of cakes from the region.

Perfect location for exploring both Capalbio village and Argentario sea side area. Quiet and clean room. I suggest to explore restaurant in the area but the hotel restaurant is very good. Service and staff outstanding and flexible to meet your specific needs.

A lovely place to stay very close to Capalbio which is such a beautiful, ancient town. The owners were really friendly and the communications before our stay were excellent. Breakfast was delicious and we also enjoyed throwing the frisbee for the dog!
