Corbara is a beautiful base for exploring places like Vesuvius, Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, and Naples. The food is good and the pizzas are delicious. You have a fantastic view of Vesuvius! A car is recommended, especially for the narrow mountain roads.

A small village on a mountain road with narrow streets,...

A small village on a mountain road with narrow streets, hardly any sidewalks, and far from the main attractions of this beautiful region of Italy. The winding, narrow roads lengthen travel time to the sights; Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, and the Corbara ferry terminal are all nearby. Corbara is perched high in the mountains, offering magnificent scenery and stunning views.

The location is strategically good for trips around the area...

The location is strategically good for trips around the area. It is not far from Amalfi, Naples, Vesuvius, etc. However, the roads are very bad. When we get off the motorway, the roads are very bad. Also, the drivers do not follow the traffic rules at all. As if there were none.

Only book here if you either don't plan on leaving your accommodation or are renting a car. It's not a place you can spend a week exploring; there's not much to see or do. It is, however, an ideal base, given its location right in the middle between Naples and the Amalfi Coast, without the hustle and bustle of either.

I thin all of the comments are fabricated. I think we are the only guests in the hotel. Nobody can speak english properly. No kitchen or automat to buy something. Everything is old and dirty. Obviously nobody check the hotel standards. Actually in the hotel room wc there is no toilet cover also.

What an amazing hotel to stay. Amazing staff, great location and great rooms (with fantastic views). There is a very fancy restaurant attached to the hotel. The food was amazing but pricey.
