Beautiful place, lovely, friendly locals, lots of great places to eat, fabulous food, drinks and icecreams. 2 little grocery shops and lots of local produce, clothes and souvenirs. There are a lot of steep steps up to the village but you can get the little mini bus every 10 minutes (although it's every 10 minutes you may need to wait for the next one depending on queue.

Picturesque, relatively small and quiet compared to the other cinque Terre towns. Centrally located so I could begin day walks in both directions. Best not to carry heavy luggage up the hill from the train station (around 380 steps) - use the bus… only 1,50 Euros but expect to wait 15-30 mins at peak time.
The walks to Vernazza and on to Monterosso, and also the walk to Manarola are magnificent, just be prepared for lots of steps.

I love hiking, and with Corniglia where have lots of trail to go for hiking. And this is a place that mainly mountain, vineyard.
For those that who looking for less crowded, quiet place, this will be a good option, compare to others are too many tourist.

Quaint little town with easy access to other Cinque Terre towns. Great hiking. 34 flights of stairs from train to town so maybe not a good place if you don’t do stairs. We really liked the town but it isn’t the place if you’re looking for a party scene.

Corniglia is probably the most difficult city of the five to access since there are no boats that travel there and the train station is quite far from the town. There is a tram that goes up from the train to the center of the town, but it can be quite crowded with long wait times. Most people will make the trek up the stairs, which is fairly easy as long as you don't have a lot of luggage.
The town itself is quite small and feels a bit crowded during the day and quite empty at night. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and also many patios to take in the views. One perk, as the middle city, is that it's easy to hike in either direction and you can easily make it to the first or fifth cities in a day by hiking (though some of the hiking is quite strenuous).

The place gets crowdy during the day, like all of the Cinque Terre villages. However, because it is not so easy to reach from the train, the amount of people is somewhat less than in the other four villages. There are plenty of places to eat, to have icecream, and even to buy groceries.

We had arrived at the accommodation having previously stayed at an excellent hotel - so we found the breakfast disappointing. But we were not expecting a breakfast.
Best restaurant in Corniglia is Cantina de Mananan. Superb. And not expensive

Corniglia is a great starting location for exploring all five towns in Cinque Terre. Remember to get the Cinque Terre card for free bus rides - this allows you to take a bus from the station to the main square.
Host running the place is extremely helpful. Room was super clean and the place was comfortable. Property is near the start of the hiking trails.

Very good area in the city, super nice view and we really loved Corniglia, the best village to stay in when visiting Cinque Terre, not the extreme amount of tourists that we found in the other villages. The staff was helpful and the restaurant was excellent, the risotto was the best I’ve ever had.

Very good location in the centre of Corniglia. The hosts are very helpful and welcoming, and let us check in earlier so that we could frop our bags off. The appartment was very nice and perfect for our stay.
