Incredible host! Nina is a real Italian nonna who made us feel very welcome. We arrived in the afternoon and she even offered to make us dinner (the only reason we refused is because we don't eat meat so she recommended a great restaurant just 15min into town). The rooms and bathroom are very clean and we were given fresh towels, soap in the bathroom and even a pair of slippers each. The bedroom was spacy, we got our own key so we could leave and enter when we pleased and there were two seperate beds but she helped us push them together. We wanted to leave very early so we were not counting on breakfast, but she made breakfast for us at 6:30 in the morning and it was amazing! She remembered no meat for us but it was a whole buffet just for us. Fresh bread, cheeses, eggs, cookies, cakes and so much more. We even got a jar of her home made cherry jam that she made from the cherries of her own tree! We chatted with her a bit and she is the sweetest host we ever had. She doesn't speak English very well but she can communicate perfectly by use of the translation app on her phone. When we left she even pointed us in the right direction of the highway so we didn't have to take the mountain road the gps told us to. She gave us some fresh strawberries from her own garden and we were on our way! If we ever stop in Bologna again we will be sure to book with Nina again 🩷
