I have nothing to compare it to, as this was my first time in Genoa, and I chose this hotel because it is close to the city center and away from the busy and noisy downtown streets. I chose a room with a sea view—technically, the sea is on the other side, but here you get a view of the marina with yachts swaying on the waves. The room also had a terrace.

check in easy, valet parked the car and assisted with luggage, room was lovely with great views of the sea, breakfast was excellent with many choices, pool was great with plenty of sun lounges. The hotel's beach is located on the other side of the marina, so access is by shuttle. However you can just walk across the road and jump in for a dip.

The location is as good as it gets. The closest public beach is 2-3 mins walk. Right next to restaurants and bars. The parking was taken care of by the staff. They took and returned the car safely. Air conditioning worked fine. There was a drying rack in the balcony to dry up the beach stuff.

After traveling four hours on the motorway, arriving at La Pineta was heavenly. Situated in a secluded area on the edge of the village was so peaceful. Excellent parking right outside the hotel. This is a family run hotel and it shows. The father is the chef and the son and daughter run the business.. Nothing was too much trouble, so accommodating. Dinner was really lovely. proper home cooked fresh produce. Breakfast was far more than adequate. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this hotel.
