Our stay at Palazzo Vannoni was very pleasant. Great communication, welcome, information about equipment and possibilities in the hotel, accurate information about the surroundings and excursions. Francesca gave us great restaurant advice. Breakfast in the hotel is varied, tasty, made from fresh ingredients. Rooms are clean, air-conditioned, spacious enough. Great location in the center of Levanto. We definitely recommend and want to come back again.

Generous and varied breakfast. Wonderfully helpful staff, nothing too difficult. Good location within walking distance of the station, even with luggage and within the city centre close to restaurants. Great happy hour, cheap and with copious appetisers. The room was cooled for our arrival. It was great to get away from the towns of the Cinque Terre since they were so crowded and go back each afternoon to peaceful Levanto.

Friendly locals. Excellent boat cruise with Mario - Costa di Faraggiana - around Cinque Terre. Restaurants and bars all within walking distance. Met the sculpture artist Renzo and ordered superbly crafted unique bracelets.

Levanto is the next town north of Cinque Terre.

Levanto is the next town north of Cinque Terre. The train that runs between the five towns, actually starts in Levanto so you can easily visit all the towns, and the trains also run to La Spezia where you can connect to many other parts of Italy. There are many restaurants, a fairly large beach, and you have many choices for hikes, walks, or rent a bike and ride through the tunnels. We were very glad we choose Levanto as the Cinque Terre towns were fairly crowded.

Levanto was the best place to anchor a visit to Cinque Terre...

Levanto was the best place to anchor a visit to Cinque Terre. After visiting each of the small towns, we found Levanto to be a good place to return to in the evenings. Being a bigger town, there were a lot more options available for everything: groceries, restaurants, beach, gelato!, laundry, etc. It was a very friendly family centered community. Kids were out playing every day, people were riding bikes, and the town square was always busy with activity. It was just absolutely charming.

Levanto is a lively town with numerous restaurants...

Levanto is a lively town with numerous restaurants particularly serving fresh fish and even some outdoor night time entertainment. Perfect location from which to explore the Cinque Terre villages and walks. Excellent transport links (train and ferry) to Cinque Terre villages and beyond …Pisa.. Portofino… Would definitely recommend a visit to Levanto!

Good place to stay if you wanna travel to Cinque Terre.

Good place to stay if you wanna travel to Cinque Terre. Cheaper and less crowded than Cinque Terre, but just 20 mins by train to go to Monterosso, or hiking from Levanto to Monterosa is also the good way, and you don’t need to pay for that trail. The trail is not easy (10km) but doable and not as crowded as others trails in Cinque Terre.

I really enjoyed the beach at levanto and the night life was...

I really enjoyed the beach at levanto and the night life was exciting, every evening the had organised some kind of a event . The most exciting part was the bicycle ride along the galerie levanto- bonassola. Also the punta della madonna ( chiesetta madonnino della punta ) was reachable with a cycle. Anyone should walk along ( hike) through the sentiero levanto- monterosso.

Our host met us outside the building to let us in and showed us the apartment. We had a problem with WIFI and the induction stove and the owner came over within ten minutes to help. Very large showers, a luxury in Italy. Easy walk to train, restaurants and ferry. Levanto was much quieter and less crowded than Chinque Terre villages and the restaurants were better and less expensive. It is a great base. Levanto also has a large beach.

This is a charming family run hotel, recently renovated, and we were very comfortable. Really clean too and as well as our room being spacious and well equipped, there were thoughtful little touches like a table being reserved at a busy local restaurant on our first night. Levanto is a lovely town too - easy access to the Cinque Terres yet away from the intense busy-ness of the area. We really enjoyed our stay and will return.

Absolutely amazing hotel. All facilities available and nothing too much trouble for the staff. Fantastic choice of food for breakfast. Catered for every taste. In the heart of Levanto and close to railway station, beach, etc. lots of fab restaurants on the doorstep. Would definitely stay at Hotel Nazionale again. Thank you to everyone for making our holiday enjoyable, especially after the train strike on our arrival.

BEST Access to the entire Cinque Terre region AND the Hotel shuttle bus effectively runs all day. staff could not have been more helpful or delightful. Brilliant breakfast covers all cuisines - bar staff at night there if needed. Quiet- but not totally out the way- wake up to distant church bells at 7 am and see the sunrise in to your rooms for breakfast. Loved it
