Free parking, wide, clean and quiet room, close to Imperia historical center as well as all main services and a breakfast that was simply F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C!! Every time I come to Diano, I stay here. The staff are always incredibly friendly, kind and helpful. The location is perfect, it's quiet, overlooks the sea and is only a short 2 minute walk to the beach. The additional service of booking an umbrella at the local beach club is really great too! I have stayed in both a double room for an entire weekend (with an amazing view) and one of the single rooms, which was simple, clean and comfy — perfect for a one night stay simply to enjoy the beach and town. I also want to say that there is a negative review somewhere below that mentions "stealing", I would like to preface that I was waiting in reception when this situation unfolded and the male guest was incredibly aggressive, irrational, rude and awful to the receptionist. So please, take that review with a pinch of salt/don't be influenced by it. I have always felt very safe and secure at this hotel, so did my mother, and I plan on continuing to stay here moving forward. Overall a wonderful hotel! Sending thanks to the staff and team :)

Great food at fair price, free of tourist hordes, an extensive bus network (that requires an app & the confidence to ask the bus driver where they're going), pleasant mix between modern city (Oneglia part) and old hill town (Porto Maurizio). I would recomend having a car or learning how to use the bus system in summer. In winter, you could easily walk everywhere and enjoy beautiful sea views.

Imperia is magical.

Imperia is magical. If you like to discover a place by walking. Ristorante Risveglio is a revelation, we went there 2x for dinner. We walked along the sea shore and took day trips along the coast between Albenga and Ventimiglia. Dolceaqua and Cervo are a must if you like to time travel. We will be back next year!

Imperia is organized well.

Imperia is organized well. The city center is actually in the center of the city. There are definitely 2 distinct neighborhoods, areas. Point Mauritz was definitely a place to visit. I went on a Sunday and it was dead. Onegilia is definitely the side to be if you want to enjoy the city. The Oneglia port is a working port, not really a nice marina or anything. Though, there were some very large yachts moored to the boardwalk. Taxi's were super easy to locate and buses were easy to take where ever you want to go. It's a very organized place. I'm still getting used to old, seemingly run down buildings and dark ally ways...which Italy is full of and Imperia is not lacking either.

Imperia is for people who like authentic atmosphere,...

Imperia is for people who like authentic atmosphere, enjoying the local culture, family restaurants, seafood, gelato, biking - there is a Bolt company for e-bikes and scooters and it is the ONLY place in the region with that option! A huge bicycle road is a big plus and a big Carrefour which is open 24/7. Literally all the time! There is also a free transfer to the city center from the station – it is impossible to find the information about the bus stops and schedule, so just talk to the driver! Just keep in mind there is no restaurant food between roughly 14 and 19, only bars with small cafes.

Liguria is nice.

Liguria is nice. Different than Adriatic coast, wery well worth exploring in slow pace. Everything seemed calmer, and easy going, water was crystal clear and warm. Prices for general food (pizza, pasta, coffee ...) affordable, not so crowded than "classic Italian tourist points"

The two halves of Imperia - Oneglia and Porto Maurizio - are...

The two halves of Imperia - Oneglia and Porto Maurizio - are different and both are worth exploring on foot. Lots of historic streets and coastal and mountain views. Porto Maurizio has a self guiding tour with information boards to follow. Imperia isn’t too big or busy which was nice for us. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Villa Grock clown museum was bizarrely fascinating and well worth the walk up the steep hill. It has a cafe to reward your effort! The new cycleway looks worth investigating if you have a spare half day or day.

The location was excellent. It was great to have the garage for parking. Acknowledging that it was in the midst of holiday seasons and not many other hotels had availability(few hotels along that stretch of road) the hotel felt a bit worn-down (especially outside and corridors) and therefore somewhat overpriced. The state of our room as we entered added to the negative feeling.

Being in a Port Maurizio part of Imperia, the property has a convient location next to the beach and to the elevator going to the old part of town with its beautiful cathedral. Lovely view from the terrace over the old part of town. The hostess kindly waved €200 CASH security deposit after me questioning it not being a part of the original official Booking.com contract

Everything was absolutely perfect! House built outside movida area and at the same time, close by all services for holidays. We just left our car parked, rented bikes and then we have explored the coast using that amazing cycle path of 40 km (Imperia- Ospedaletti) which is only 500m far from VillaLea. Nothing to complain. Thumbs up for all!
