Personally, I have always been drawn to places with history, philosophy, soul, and traditions — and this is exactly that kind of place. From the very first moments, you realize that everything here is authentic. Life can be felt in every detail. This is not a museum exhibit, but rather a living theater where history continues to exist naturally and beautifully. Staying here feels like stepping into a nearly 200-year-old story, as if you were traveling in a time machine. The views of the mountains and Lake Como are absolutely breathtaking, especially in the early morning when the first rays of sunlight paint the landscape in soft golden colors. These are moments you simply never forget. At first glance, the rooms may seem ascetic to some guests. A creaking antique dresser or the absence of a television might surprise some people. But if you are looking not for standardized hotel luxury, but for a genuine experience and atmosphere — if you came to Como not for an Instagram photo, but for emotions and authenticity — then you are absolutely in the right place. Breakfast on the terrace is a special ritual and one of the warmest memories of our stay. We would especially like to mention the genuine care and warm hospitality of Signora Cinzia, as well as the wonderful Motti family, who run the albergo and Da Luciano - Bottega e Caffe'. Thank you for the unforgettable emotions, atmosphere, and memories that we will carry with us for a very long time.

I stayed at Villa Ruby with my husband for a work trip, but it honestly felt more like a getaway. The villa is spacious, clean, and peaceful — mornings on the terrace with coffee and evenings by the pool were perfect. What really stood out was the host. He was incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to help. One evening he even arranged a private chef for us, which turned a normal night into something unforgettable. We came for work, but ended up enjoying ourselves so much that it felt like a mini-vacation. Definitely a place we’d love to come back to.

Laglio has not much to offer per se, it is a small village on the Como Lake. But there are two restaurants, both of which are great value for money, down by the pier. Worth a stop. Actually two stops. 1. La locanda del Cantiere which is more sofisticated but worth it. 2. Osteria Vecchio Molo which is very nice, makes tasty food, at a good price and has super friendly service.

Was a stunning and beautiful place to visit.

Was a stunning and beautiful place to visit. Navigating around the place was not to difficult. Using buses and the train. However taxis can be difficult to get and when you do prices seemed to vary for same distance. Locals were helpful and friendly.

Our hotel, San Marino, was on the main north south route...

Our hotel, San Marino, was on the main north south route above the old lakeside road. To get a better impression we walked down what appear to be ancient alleys between old properties to reach the lakeside road which is more atmospheric. Good exercise too.

The apartment was fully equipped with everything I required for my stay. It was roomy and cozy, a real gem of a location right on the edge of Lake Como. There was ample parking and some nice local eateries within a ten minute walk of the apartment. The surrounding area was relaxing and quiet, but it was also only a short drive to Como itself. I would love to go back to Laglio above George.

Very charming place, rustical and with small details that gives a special touch. At the time of our staying we had all space for ourselves! Great view at lake Como from the terrace of our room. Breakfast is rich and fresh local products. Cinzia was really helpful!
