Mimmo and his wife are very sweet! The room was spacious and clean, and the place has lovely common areas with great views of the beach and the port. The location is great and the breakfast was lovely. As a bonus, they have a beautiful and chill dog, Bianca!

This is a fantastic hotel, with incredible views over the Med and Mount Etna in the distance. Everything was beautiful: immaculate rooms, open balconies, the light, surroundings, village of Leni, nature and the hospitality was amazing. Truly recommended, we'd like to come back. Easy central location to travel around Salina using public transport.

Our stay was made extra special by the hospitality of Rosa and Marco. The breakfast was delicious and the pizza menu at Marco’s restaurant was extensive - we were totally spoilt for choice! Our room was large and spotlessly clean and the shower was powerful.

I loved everything about the place the people cannot do enough to help, breakfast is all home made jams cakes juices with produce from the property by Francesca. The rooms are large and well appointed and extremely clean modern enough while remaining authentic and their local knowledge was amazing. Everything about the property was great - the location, the facilities, the food and most especially the personal attention given to us by the staff. The entire hotel has been carefully designed and finished retaining charm and authenticity. We found every corner to be beautifully curated, and with Stromboli as the main backdrop, it all made for a visually stunning experience. Relaxing on a hammock overlooking Stromboli on the hotel room terrace is an experience in itself. Food is excellent at both breakfast and dinner. They offer a selection of homemade marmalades, granitas and cakes for breakfast which are delightful. Dinner was also a pleasant experience and we fully recommend their exceptional pasta Norma with baked ricotta salata. Getting there and around was easy as the hotel is one alleyway away from the Main Street in Santa Maria Salina and port.

Rinella in June was very quiet with not many restaurants to...

Rinella in June was very quiet with not many restaurants to choose from. There was one clothes shop,one grocery shop and one tabbachi. If you don’t have a car, ferry, taxi or Citi bus is the only way to get about - or hiking of course. The bus I think is cheapest but we didn’t use it because we were mostly island hopping. 10 minute ride on ferry to Santa Marina Salina seemed expensive for the trip but I think it gets more expensive at certain popular times of the day. This is a quieter, more remote place to do the hopping (with the extra 10 min journey always tagged on the end from Santa Marina) so if you want a little bit more buzz choose one of the other islands or Santa Marina. Personally, we liked the vibe on Vulcano and loved Stromboli. (Stromboli is probably not the best base for island hopping though as it is the furthest one away). Lipari is big and bustling and didn’t feel like island-life but if you like that sort of thing, it’s a great base. On the whole we enjoyed our choice of base at Rinella. It was a good ‘getaway from it all’ place, where we were forced to do extremely little- when not venturing.

Mariella and Carlos are friendly and obliging hosts and their home is an historic house with a special history and unique charm that's been in the family for generations. It was a pleasure to meet them. Leni is a little village and one gets to know the locals a bit in a short time. I ate at a new little kitchen close by run by Enzo and it was homely and delicious. The local wines are wonderful and the capers and lemons! There are some lovely walks nearby. I would love to stay longer.

A quaint hotel in a beautiful area of the island, Rinella. Very tranquil and relaxing. Monica, Rosa and Marco were exceptional with doing as much as they can for you to make your stay at their impeccably clean hotel, a great one. Monica's home made goodies added a special touch to the breakfast on the terrace with a great view! Highly recommend Hotel Principe di Rinella.

Incredible place on the seafront in the peaceful village of Rinella. The rooms with private terraces are worth the money and the hotel provides great recommendations for what to do on the island. Really appreciated the luggage pick up service at the ferry port too and the staff were very helpful.
