I had a lovely stay at the Hotel Al Faro. It was spotless, comfortable, and well looked after. The hosts were very welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

Great accommmodation in Licata center and close to the port. We have been there during Easter with children and it has been a wonferful and memorable experience for all of us that we could see the unique procession during day and even night right from the balcony! Guiseppe is a great host, he shared all info we needed and was very helpful during our stay. 100%recommending this place if you want to experience something less turistic than the usual well known but crowdy places like Taormina.T he appartment is very nicely constructed and clean.(loved the big blue wardrobe and desk!)

Licata is an interesting town and Guiseppe and the apartment really made our stay. Great communication beforehand meant we found the parking place by the port immediately and Guiseppe came to lead us to the apartment which has been beautifully renovated with a great industrial vibe. We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is in a warren of old streets where theres been a clever art initiative which is great fun. Took Guiseppe's advice on places to eat and had fantastic fresh fish. Nice beaches one way and a marina the other....it was a great and v comfortable apartment to come back to.

The place was accurately described on site. Large room, large bathroom, large balcony. Nicely furnished, pristine white towels, all very clean, everything you could ask for. Excellent location near the beach, one minute walk from the restaurant where I ate an amazing cooked sole. And above all I cannot helped myself to praise the host. When talking about the breakfast hour, asking for 8.00 instead of 8.30, somehow it slipped me that breakfast (Italian style which is many type of sweet pastries and coffee) should be prepared for a single person not for two because I am diabetic. The host nodded and said " OK, salati" (that means savory in Italian). Next morning a great surprise was waiting for us in breakfast room at 8.00: a 2,5 meters long buffet display of tens dishes both savory and sweets, vegetables, fruits, nuts, you name it.... Just for us because we were the only guests overnight due to the fact that it was out of season. Loredana was there welcoming us with a large smile along with the lady who helped her. We knew about Italian/ Sicilian hospitality but their efforts exceeded by far everything we knew and we do not have enough words to thank them.

The location is very central. You can walk everywhere. The flat is very charming, modern, clean and has everything you might need. Giampaolo was very kind to us. It's worth staying 2 nights.

Very friendly and warm welcome from Marco, he came to the bus station to pick us up by car as it was raining. The apartment is cleaned to the highest standards, modern and secure, beds are comfortable. The breakfast was awesome with a choice of different flavours of freshly made pastries. Thanks Marco!

We have been travelling around Sicily the past few years, so...

We have been travelling around Sicily the past few years, so in comparison Licata is not very different to other places we visited already. You can go for a long walk and enjoy the streets, the area of the port but don't expect anything special. Its worth to see once I guess. One thing to mention, there were lot of stray dogs on the streets. We had a situation when 5 of them were following and barking at us.

Licata was quite tired looking and quite a lot of rubbish...

Licata was quite tired looking and quite a lot of rubbish around the town and local area. However it would appear it is being renovated. A lot of animal poo on pavements. Beach was very clean and tidy though

Licata is not a 'pretty' town but it is an old town full...

Licata is not a 'pretty' town but it is an old town full of narrow streets and with a flavour of old Sicily. There is an abundanceof restaurants and cafes well frequented by local folk and not expensive. There is also a nice, modern marina in Licata which is open for townsfolk to visit and walk around plus tthere are cafes and restaurants alongside which can be very popular and busy in the warmer months. Thee is a rail and bus station in the centre of town which can take you to most places around sicily but please note there are no taxis close to the station so if you arrive late at night in the dark with suitcase and far from your accommodation...be prepared for a long walk with google!

Licata has little to offer apart from a short visit to its museum. Streets are dingy and the road surfaces rutted. Driving required avoiding potholes. The surrounding area is hectares of plastic covered greenhouses. Mounds of flytipping further distracted from the environment.

A town with little to offer the moving tourist other than at least one nice, relatively secluded beach (for you to find on your own). We did eat at a restaurant located near the top of the hill that faces the ocean with a panoramic view...though we sent back the fish dish as it was overcooked and tough...bummer since the sauce was very nice. There are a number of private residences perched on the hill with ocean views and we saw some on Booking.com for over 1,000USD a night. But, if someone could find an affordable site there, it seems like it would be a nice place to settle into for a week or more. It appeared that the town has some degree of up-scale nature to it with what appeared to be a number of secondary residences.

Nice overnight stay in Licata. Apartment on first floor about 50 metres from road. Host met me on main road after barman called him from Cafe. Modern, industrialist look. Wifi good. Bed comfortable. Aircon in kitchen warmed rooms. Bathroom good. Some nice Restaurants about 200m walk from room.

Loved this hotel, great location, nice facilities and really clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and really helpful. Didn't use the restaurant, but it looked like a nice place, and those customers who did use it enjoyed it.
