We have been travelling around Sicily the past few years, so...
We have been travelling around Sicily the past few years, so in comparison Licata is not very different to other places we visited already. You can go for a long walk and enjoy the streets, the area of the port but don't expect anything special. Its worth to see once I guess. One thing to mention, there were lot of stray dogs on the streets. We had a situation when 5 of them were following and barking at us.

Licata was quite tired looking and quite a lot of rubbish around the town and local area. However it would appear it is being renovated. A lot of animal poo on pavements. Beach was very clean and tidy though

Licata is not a 'pretty' town but it is an old town full...
Licata is not a 'pretty' town but it is an old town full of narrow streets and with a flavour of old Sicily. There is an abundanceof restaurants and cafes well frequented by local folk and not expensive. There is also a nice, modern marina in Licata which is open for townsfolk to visit and walk around plus tthere are cafes and restaurants alongside which can be very popular and busy in the warmer months. Thee is a rail and bus station in the centre of town which can take you to most places around sicily but please note there are no taxis close to the station so if you arrive late at night in the dark with suitcase and far from your accommodation...be prepared for a long walk with google!

Licata has little to offer apart from a short visit to its...
Licata has little to offer apart from a short visit to its museum. Streets are dingy and the road surfaces rutted. Driving required avoiding potholes. The surrounding area is hectares of plastic covered greenhouses. Mounds of flytipping further distracted from the environment.

This is a very spacious apartment the includes 2 bedrooms with a fully equipped kitched. The location is really central - within 10 minutes on foot you will find the commercial complex (that includes a supermarket), the port of licata with the lighthout (an excellent evening walk), a choice of restaurants, and the centro storico. Moreover, it is right next to a parking area - so parking is totally not an issue.

Comfortable, a good size apartment and well fitted out. (A few missing bits and pieces but that’s being sorted out)
Central to Licata night life overlooking the piazza.
Short walk to the beach and bus and train stations.

The overall experience at the hotel was ok. Very nice and big pool, sandy beach, plenty of good food, nice rooms that are distributed in separated small buildings. The animation team was incredible with very fun activities all day long.

Marinella is an amazing host and she is taking care in the best way possible. The place is a true surprise when you come from the street and the terrace is an oasis.
