Everything was perfect. So much space everywhere… beach, lounges, restaurant…etc. Azure sea.. heaven for swimming. No shortage of umbrellas and sun beds. A delight for visitors exhausted by the mass of tourists elsewhere. A real oasis of peace and tranquillity. All staff incredibly helpful and discrete. We stayed only 2 nights but I would go back any time for a longer stay. It was the highlight of our journey though Campania and Calabria. Thanks so very much.

We loved everything! Parking was easy. We got the best welcome and a room upgrade! The walk to the beach was pleasant. On recommendation from reception, we went to the nicest pizzeria up the road. Had our best pizza in Italy and lovely few beers watching football in the bar across the road.

Amazing view from our comfortable room started a wonderful 3 days at this hotel. The staff and facilities were top notch. We loved the pool area and the staff were so helpful and friendly it really made a difference to our time here. The food was delicious, a satisfying and varied breakfast on the balcony with stunning views. We ate dinner every night with a new menu to choose from each evening. Every meal was amazing quality with a great wine selection and not over priced. Appetisers and a drink were a must on the balcony before dinner. Wonderfully relaxing time with lovely staff and great facilities 🙏😍

Despite our not speaking Italan, the contact with Manuela was absolutely flawless, starting with her helping us catch the bus from the station and ending with immediate solving of an aircon issue in our room. The room itself is large and practical, with a lot of storage space, comfortable beds and a great bathroom. The location is second ro none, very central and very Italian (so to speak), with the windows facing a local restaurant (not really too noisy after midnight). Breakfast, in one of the cafes in the square nearby, is simple but fun! Last but not least, we loved the town itself! ❤️

Maratea is a beautiful region and it must get quite crowded in summer. We were trying to miss the crowds and we did. In fact, it was very quiet in the last week of October with almost no tourists and just the small population of residents.

We had the most amazing meal at La Torre restaurant,...

We had the most amazing meal at La Torre restaurant, Giuseppe is an amazing chef. His wife is an amazing host. Our food was of a very high standard and very well presented. I had a glass of red wine that was from the area. I so regret not taking a box home. Absolutely, love our stay. Unfortunately we only stayed one night. Will go back for sure.

Loved going up to Christ the Redeemer it was a fantastic view of the area.Worth the zigzag drive up . We went into the village and down by the boat harbour for dinner . Had the best ever dessert at 1999 ll Ristorante. The food there was amazing . Loved the beach ,the water felt warm , great for swimming. The only thing we found difficult was parking . It’s easy to find your way around but parking is difficult.

It would be nice to have a bit of information supplied where the beaches and beach restaurants/facilities are. Also some details for walks in the area, with enough details about paths and directions to be able to go on them without getting lost.

Take a car. Stay at the hotel Murmann - it’s very good. The beach has nothing to offer. The port area is worth a quick look if you have a car but is not a pleasant walk from the hotel. A local restaurant A Fuoco Lente was very good with friendly staff

Beautiful countryside; mountains AND sea. Quiet too. Great for walkers, but if you want to go far afield a car is useful - can be hired in Maratea. Everyone helpful and friendly. not a lot of English spoken (why should they!) but you can get by easily enough. Assume it is busier later in teh year but springtime is lovely.

The coast of Maratea is extraordinary, maybe one of the best places we visited in our southern Italy roadtrip. The room was clean with a sea view and the breakfast area was one of the best to enjoy your morning coffee or the many breakfast options they offer. The staff was helpful and friendly. There is also a unique beach in a walking distance from a hotel. Overall, a very pleasant stay!

Hotel is new so everything was very clean. Breakfast offered a good variety. The staff were very friendly - especially the housekeeping lady, she always had a big, warm smile on her face. Not far from the beach and plenty of restaurant options near by.
