Nice rooms with stunning views from the pool and hot tub and nice view to see the Jesus Christ redeemer statue, owners are a blessing so kind and nice and very helpful , the hotel is only of a kind for her features it used to be a convent but they really transformed it in a cosy locanda not to be missed

Maratea is a beautiful region and it must get quite crowded in summer. We were trying to miss the crowds and we did. In fact, it was very quiet in the last week of October with almost no tourists and just the small population of residents.

We had the most amazing meal at La Torre restaurant, Giuseppe is an amazing chef. His wife is an amazing host. Our food was of a very high standard and very well presented. I had a glass of red wine that was from the area. I so regret not taking a box home. Absolutely, love our stay. Unfortunately we only stayed one night. Will go back for sure.

Loved going up to Christ the Redeemer it was a fantastic view of the area.Worth the zigzag drive up .
We went into the village and down by the boat harbour for dinner . Had the best ever dessert at 1999 ll Ristorante. The food there was amazing .
Loved the beach ,the water felt warm , great for swimming.
The only thing we found difficult was parking .
It’s easy to find your way around but parking is difficult.

It would be nice to have a bit of information supplied where the beaches and beach restaurants/facilities are. Also some details for walks in the area, with enough details about paths and directions to be able to go on them without getting lost.

Take a car. Stay at the hotel Murmann - it’s very good.
Take a car. Stay at the hotel Murmann - it’s very good. The beach has nothing to offer. The port area is worth a quick look if you have a car but is not a pleasant walk from the hotel. A local restaurant A Fuoco Lente was very good with friendly staff

Great for walkers, but if you want to go far afield a car is useful - can be hired in Maratea. Everyone helpful and friendly. not a lot of English spoken (why should they!) but you can get by easily enough.
Assume it is busier later in teh year but springtime is lovely.

Beautiful accommodation with very good equipment in a wonderful location, very nice and helpful Mrs. Rosalba. Great view of the bay from the terrace, delicious breakfast in the garden and great homemade cakes and jams from mom! Good fish and seafood restaurant Cesare nearby. An excellent place for trips to the mountains and the nearby beach - I recommend visiting the statue of Jesus above Maratea early in the morning and the sky-view over the sea. I can only recommend !

A hidden gem...the morning starts with a delicious breakfast with a spectacular view. After a short walk from the hotel you reach the sea for perfect swimming conditions. Tarzan Beach Bar have umbrellas and lounges drinks & food.
In the evening the hotel restaurant Locanda Di Nettuno serves the most fresh and amazing food. A must stay.

I like the view from all 3 windows. It was what I imagined having seen an art work and eventually meeting the local artist who did an incredible job by burning wood instead of painting a part of that view. The 180 degrees seaview I had or have in Calabria is stunning but for a change I needed that of Maratea even temporarily.

The in house restaurant was the best I’ve eaten in my 3 weeks in Italy
