We visited this hotel on while traveling from Switzerland to the Lago Maggiore. We appreciated the late check-in possibility and the friendly staff. Upon arrival we got an unexpected room upgrade to a room with a large, luxurious bathroom. The room was very very clean and the beds are comfortable.

I was in Italy getting to know the country from north to south, and I can say with total certainty that the best place where I was was in il architetto de jacobo, the spectacular room, with a window with a beautiful view of the city center. Located in the quietest, safest and most beautiful area of the city. The breakfast was one of the most complete that I ate on a trip through the country with selected and very high quality products, in a very quiet environment Last but not least, the Jacobo the owner, is a gentleman, a very kind man who knows the city like the back of his own hand. He gave me all the tips I needed to make my tour of the city easier.

Fast check in and very nice lady on reception. She didn't speak english but we could manage. In the morning she offered a breakfast but we didn't have time to eat. For 1 or 2 nights for stopover is ok. Have balcony. Clean place.

The welcome was most friendly and helpful. Due to the road improvement on our arrival, the access was a bit of challenge, however the front office manager was most helpful. The room was in great condition and the classical design very cozy and charming. The bathroom was very clean and well maintained. The restaurant is of great classical design with very tasty food quality and personalized service. It is in deed a great experience of a family run hotel not to be missed in the best city center location. The valet parking opposite the hotel is very convenient. The buffet breakfast is of great quality and has all one needs to start a beautiful day. A place to be recommended and we'll be back again.

Was travelling though the area, so happy for the late check-in, really appreciate the gesture from the restaurant because I arrived just as the kitchen closed, breakfast was plentiful, the room was clean. Private parking space, staff was helpful. Hope the people and the business were not hurt in the floods. Would visit again.
