Self catering unit was far more than we expected.. clean sunny, fresh. Beds were comfortable and rooms very spacious. I loved the gardens and the HUGE pumpkins and squash at the reception area.

Large room with balcony. Views of lake were amazing. Private jetty/ sunbed area right next to water. Great dinner and entertainment as we stayed on a Saturday night. Complementary breakfast was delicious.

This hotel is very traditional and well know with the legendary chef who still greets his guests. The food was the best i have ever had and service very good. Lots of available parking and rooms were large and comfortable.

The room is so cosy and the location and landscape are excepcional. The restaurant was also fabulous. I would repeat with no doubt.

This was an exceptionally clean and well-managed hotel that paid close attention to guests’ practical needs. The large wardrobe had smooth-sliding drawers, making it easy to organize clothes during the stay. There was also a wall-mounted safe and, amazingly, a bathtub, both very comfortable features. In addition to soap and shampoo, body lotion was also provided.The fluffy white towels were excellent, and the drainage in both the bathtub and sink worked perfectly — something surprisingly rare in Europe. Mauro at reception even greeted me in Japanese, which was a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was typically Italian, with mainly sweet items, but cornflakes, milk, and yogurt were also available. The location is in the middle of an industrial area, and the nearest railway station is unmanned, but the trains arrived on time. When I first entered the room, I noticed a slight smell of cigarette smoke. However, this is more a guest issue than a hotel one, as the hotel clearly displays large no-smoking signs. I was also pleased to see hand sanitizer at the entrance to the breakfast room, although of course not every guest is equally considerate about cleanliness. Even so, the hotel is clearly doing everything possible at this price level. Simple, but the best-value hotel I have ever stayed at in Europe — with management far better than a Michelin three-star hotel-restaurant in Provence, where even the bathtub and sink did not drain properly.
